Who says he had one. If he did have one, then God created it, like he created the rest of Adam.

Big question- does it matter? No.

Remember that the story of Adam and Eve is an allegory, and is not to be taken literally. There is no real question that we evolved - all evidence says yes we did. So what if Adam and Eve represent the first of our species who were given souls?

UFO brings up an excellent point. The first of our species came out of Africa... they should not be painted Caucasian.

Er, would that be:
1) Adam Sandler's,
2) Don Adams', or
3) Douglas Adams'?

I'm sure they'd all give better answers than the X-tian "Free Thinkers"

Adam & Eve were created by God, they were not birthed into life. He nor Eve had a belly button. But Cain and Abel did and all those birthed after them did too.

Adam's almost-fully-modern-human parent.

there IS no "adam" as the myth would have you believe. adam is hebrew for mankind. so this was just another fable in the bible. (which is fiction).

His mother, of course. Aren't those originally attached to umbilical cords while in the womb? Well, at least that's where all the people I know of got them.
