laser hair removal is the only way to MAYBE get rid of hair permanently. it's not permanent for all women, and that's why i say maybe. it's rather expensive and sometimes painful. honestly, just shave or wax. it's a lot cheaper, less painful, and takes two seconds.

Electrolysis is the only way to permanently remove hair. It is treatment with a lazer that shocks the hair follicle with an electric current. I've heard it is rather painful, and it is also very expensive and often takes several treatments before it works! For temporary removal without shaving, you can try waxing (also painful!) or a hair remover such as Nair (there are also several others out there). Both waxing and a hair remover keep the hair away longer than shaving because they get hair out by the root rather than just at the surface. Good luck!

There is a new method for laser removal. They use a clear plastic plate between your skin and the laser. I just saw it last week on TV. Check with a dermotologist. The clear plastic protector is suppose to reduce the pain by keeping the skin evenly flattened.

If you can't afford electolisis or laser, check around with the schools that teach these methods and see if have a volunteer for students to work on you, beauty and barber schools. You could possibly get the procedure done for a reduced price or even free if they do. Keep in mind it would be a student working on you, hopefully with the instructor watching on.

I am HAIRY! I have done about everything there is...laser, electrolysis, wax, tweeze, vaniqua. Nothing works for me alone. However a combination of the pill, laser, and a medicine called Aldactone has at least lessened it. I have hormone issues, so I don't expect it to disappear completely.

Pulsed light (IPL) works well and doesn't hurt as much as laser hair removal.

Two choices: lazer or electrolysis. Lazer works better on dark haired people with coarse hair.

Laser removal. You could also try waxing, I hear if you wax long enough your hair follicles will die, but its different for every one.
