The blue screen usually indicates a lack of signal. Check all of your connections and check all of your cables. Also make sure you have selected the proper input on your TV. Hopefully that will do the trick.

If that does not help then something internal may have broken. If you have been happy with your set before it broke it may be worthwhile to have the repairman look at it. It might not be an expensive fix.

Your TV is NOT necessarily dead. If you have a remote control, press the TV button, usually at the top of the remote, then press the on/off button. Your remote should have a "TV" mode, a "DVD" mode, and a "VCR" mode. You have to set it for the TV mode, to get it to work.
Sounds like it is in one of the other modes. Also, you can press the "Menu" button, and see if it does anything... Good luck on this...

Are you sure you are having a valid source coming into the tv...? if not make sure your tv service is working,,,, Is it hooked up to a VCR? turn that off or try changing the channel... if none of that works... srry... its dead.... I would recommend a Magnavox CRT tv.... ive had mine for 14 years and its still going strong....
