I was certain that all the conspiracy theorists (the ones who claim that NASCAR is rigged to let Hendrick Motorsports win every week) would have been all over Yahoo Answers complaining that NASCAR had a hand in Junior's decision to drive for HMS. After all, it's a natural progression...phantom debris cautions, acts of God (weather), and now Junior!

Presenting the (un)official conspiracy theorist's version of the driver's meeting prior to the 2008 Daytona 500

NASCAR Official: "OK, gentlemen, let's get this started. First off, let me welcome you to the 50th running of the Great American Race. Now, as you all know, Junior over there has a new ride with the Hendrick team, and you know what that means (wink, wink)."

Tony Stewart: "But..."

Official: "Now, Tony, after that outburst, we're gonna have to ask you to pay a visit to the trailer. Mr. France is gonna wanna chat with you."

Stewart: "But..."

Official: "Good luck, boys, especially you, Junior (wink, wink)."

Just to clarify...I am a huge Jeff Gordon fan (been following him since his rookie year) and think that this is a great move for Hendrick and Junior alike! I was just being somewhat sarcastic and wondering where all the "NASCAR is rigged" questions were

LOL, uh oh here we go folks. I'm just wondering if the conspiracy theorists will now blame bad finishes on team orders from Rick. That made me laugh, you get a star.

Only thing I have to say is you need to change the first official comment about Stewart going to talk to Mr. France. He's not been the one who the drivers get into trouble with for a few years now. Mike Helton has been the big man since 2001. When was the last time you watched NASCAR?

Junior is a businessman as well as a driver. He did what he did in a business situation.
If this helps him to win a championship then that is a good business decision.
So bottom line Junior did for Junior what he needs to do.

tregosteevo you forgot to add your star, but since I have some fellow NASCAR enthusiasts on my contact list, would like to bring Ed's question to their attention. You've got to be kidding, Ed, (wink, wink) or are you proposing NASCAR is a tool of WWE or a Chinese Tong?

Why all the fuss over Jr. He ain't no better than any other driver.
He hasn't won a race in over a year. He thinks he's hot s**t
just because his name is Earnhardt..

You are just jelous of my boy Jeff. I have been waiting for this year for a while now. I think Jr. was just tired of getting his trashed every week and wanted to go to a team that could get it done for him.
