the name i'm talking about is an Ancient egyptian name

Phonetically, the word is spelled "ntr". The underlined "t" stands for a "tj" sound, thus the spelling "Netjer" (and the mispronounced as well as misspelled "neter").

Because the ancient Egyptians (as in modern-day Arabic) didn't spell their vowels, we will probably never know with complete accuracy how all but some of the words really sounded.

You pronounce it as it is but the T is silent and the J sounds more like an shz sound.

I've heard it pronounced "NEE-chur", but I don't know if that person was saying it right or not. =)
