I keep "seeing lights" and I can't focus. I don't have any pain or a headache of any kind, but I've been to the doctor before with symptoms like this (years ago) and they said it was just a migraine.

yes you can. They are called optical migraines (I had them while I was pregnant). I didn't have trouble focusing though...I just saw lights. You may want to talk to a specialist to make sure that is what it is and not a detached retina or something.

Yes, you can get migraines without the headaches. I have been getting them for over 20 years and I have seen an eye doctor and a nuerologist. I can feel one coming on because I start seeing bright flashing lights that I describe as looking out on water on a bright sunny day. I also have parts of my vision blinded. In other words it is like looking at a puzzle with pieces missing. My husband used to get these a very long time ago and his one eye would just go blind. So, the answer is yes, however you should go to see an ophamologist to make sure that it is not something more serious which it could be. Also, my health is good, no high blood pressure or other problems.

The 'lights' are normally a precursor to the migraine. It's not a true migraine without the pain though.

There is no such thing as "just a migraine." You should be prescribed medication to prevent your migraines. It's been shown that migraines cause vascular damage in the brain.

Yes. I also experience them. It is usually a indication that in the next few hours or even the next day I will be getting the real thing. However, this can also be a sign of high blood pressure or a problem with your glucose. So you would need to discuss this with your doctor to determine which it is and treat it accordingly.

Yes you can. What you're seeing is auras and they sometimes precede getting other symptoms like actual headaches. Check this out: http://www.neurologychannel.com/migraine/

High blood pressure? Sometimes that can cause it. Do you also get blurred vision?
