Anyone else on Lofepramine anti depressant?

What are the side affects that they caused you?

i had hallucinations,sickness,diorreah,shaking and blurred vision. they were awful. they rendered me helpless. my partner had to nurse me for 2 days before i was well again. my doctor later discovered i am unable to take any anti depressants as i have very sever reactions to them all. i tried 7 different ones. i would recommend you take a vitamin supplement called 5-HTP,1000MG. you can buy them in your local health food shop. they are about £12. they help replace serotonin in your brain. it will also help you get a good nights rest. take 1 half hour before bedtime. they will make you sleepy so don't take them during the day until you get used to them at night. i feel so much better,and am sleeping a lot better which is helping me recover quicker. hope things get better for you soon. depression is flaming horrid. take care xx

lofepramine isn't used in the united states, so I don't know that anyone here can share such experience with you. Unless they get their drugs outside the country. In the blood lofepramine turns into desipramine, which is used here, so the side effects would be similar. You might have better luck asking about Desipramine usage.

Hi Hun my mum has been on these tablets for years now and has never had any side affects but it does vary from person to person some may have, it does really depend on the length of time you have been on them as well they may well be still getting in to your system which can take a good few weeks, if you are in doubt talk to your GP
