I have had the same problem.
I use St. Ive apricot scrub...it really does do wonders.
Also, make sure that you're moisturizing!..
and definitely make sure you wash your face before you hit the sack...
I have had bad luck with the neutrogena at home microdemabrasion, but I've had bad luck with all neutrogena...I think my skin is too sensitive, but I do use the Physicians Formula microdermabrasion kit, and I love it :)

Exfoliate your skin since that is the best way to get it to look radiant. St. Ives apricot scrub is probably my favorite scrub.
If you are willing to splurge there is also this great lotion from Clarnis that is called Renew-Plus Night Lotion. It works wonders for your skin, but it is very expensive (however it also lasts for a long time: one bottle lasted a year and a half for me)

I haven't tried any of the products you mentioned. I use Clarins multi active serum and Total double serum and have been GREAT to my skin. Yes they are pricey BUT you can always shop on ebay.
Another thing to keep in mind is how hydrated you keep your body. You need to drink plenty of water and more so during the summer months. Include vitamin E to your daily diet and or supplement intake.

Use a lotion with alpha or beta hydroxy acid or some retinol formula. Neutrogena Healthy Skin lotion is good.

You need to exfoliate. The old skin cells start to build up as we age. Giving that dull ruddy look.
Those at home microderma brasion kits work well.
