you are the cosmic
ocean of love
where nectar resides.....
the nectar which
Gods used to drink to
sustain their beauty and
immortality
I want to be a small fish
if you permit

We all need reassurance of our significance, our value to our world. The most insecure are often the most demanding, regardles of their resources. But there are also those that believe they will be recognized if they only prove their value.
Rest assured, the universe will take you for granted no matter what you do. Love tracked down and captured is not love. It will either come to you or it won't. But you already have love inside you, and that is what matters. Use it, regardless of the response.
Ascended masters, such as the Buddha, have no more use for the world that they can now see through. So what is their option while waiting for physical release? Compassion. They do what they can to care for the unenlightened because perceived need is real need.
Jesus was considered the Son of God, so surely he should have been fundamentally concerned that people get their theology straight. What did he preach? "Love your enemies. Do good to those who hurt you." "Turn the other cheek." "Seek the lowest place." "If your brother has something against you, go and reconcile with him." "Feed the hungry, clothe the naked, heal the sick, visit the imprisoned." These are not supernatural issues. These are commands to love, in ways that do not expect reciprocation.
Love, and show your love with compassionate action, without regard to your relationship to the other. What results is what results.

Demanding love without any concrete reason to be loved is pointless (harsh to think about, but logically sound I think). You have to earn love, it makes it all the more sweet. The only exceptions I can think of are parents and God, where you have every right to demand love. Love from these parties is always unconditional.

there is no such thing as worldly love.Love is the wrong word here it can be called attatchment but not love.
I have seen enough of fake "love" of the world.
so I almost dont give a damn about it.
Love for God has to be earned ,there is no other way though any individuals eternal and true state is in love of God just as Gods relationship with us is one of eternal, unconditional love from his side

Love is given not earned. Respect is earned not given. You can give love (not sex) to anyone by your conduct, you do not actually have to like the person concerned.
On the other hand you can respect someone you dislike intensely , for a number of qualities they may have ie determination, courage, skill etc

I'm constantly trying to earn it, or to give myself something to justify any love I get .. like I don't deserve it if I don't give and give and give ... it's a wrong thing to think, and it's giving me a lot of problems in life, but I don't think it's any worse than "demanding" ... love comes or it doesn't ... if you're doing things according to what you think is right, you shouldn't be earning or deserving ... it should come naturally, by itself

neither.
I simply give love.
Worldly love, if we truly understand what love is, is neither demanded of nor earned either. It's given. in fact, I don't believe that demand or earn can be a part of the definition of love at all.
God doesn't expect me to earn His love - He has already given it unconditionally.
All I can do is ACCEPT His love and give it away to others in return.
blessings :)

You cannot demand real love but you cannot earn it either.
With people love just happens anyway by just being yourself.
With God it's different. God loves us regardless. We could never hope to earn His love.

demanding or earning are the characteristics of the false self (made by us in this physical world) . while love is selfless and much beyond that .for me love is a lot but for this question love is the experience of feelings(may not be necessarily emotional but other kind of feelings also) . eg to love someone means that there is no difference between me and Him . like if he is sad then i feel the pain of his sadness, if he is happy then i feel the joy of his happiness ..................................

Many people call themselves Christians...but anyone who is a true Christian should be practicing real Christian love for all as commanded by Jesus in John 15v12 "This is my commandment , that you love one another as I have loved you"
Anyone who is practicing Christian love is attractive in nature to others and becomes a loved person themselves...not because they wish to earn the love but because they are so lovable.
Best wishes, Mike.

You can not demand love or earn it. Someone will either love you or not. Respect, however, is someone you can demand and earn.
