Well first off, I don't advise dating people just so you won't be alone. I'm not saying you did, but it kind of seems that way. I'm not trying to come off harsh, but I'm going to tell you to follow your heart. If you really like this guy, and you're just not feeling your current boyfriend you have to be true to yourself. You'll just hurt yourself and more people in the long run if you stay in a relationship you don't want to be in.

If a guy is willing to ask another girl out when he already has a girlfriend then what makes you think he'll stay with you if you get together? That's questionable. You should follow your heart though. Just try not to break too many people's hearts.

So does "getting a boyfriend" make you think you are in a committed relationship? If you think you have made some sort of promise, then keep it.
Anyway, let the other guy down easy. You won't be with the first one that long. We can tell.
