I had the same issues as yours before. It doesn't matter if you are below poverty level or not. If you owe the taxes and they have sent you multiple notices of intent to levy and has done nothing about it, you will get garnish soon. You should hire someone professionally lift the garnishment for you so it will get done correctly. If you want the company that I used to lift the wage garnishment, II'll let you know through e-mail. I can't do it here on the forum. I can through e-mail.

Go to IRS.GOV and contact the Taxpayer Advocate's Office; you may be able to get some relief. If you are under the poverty level and work ten hours a week how can you possibly owe taxes anyway? You should be due a refund.

call and talk to the IRS. If you set up a payment plan, they will not garnish your wages. contrary to popular belief, they will work with people.

You can try speaking to the IRS - but don't expect to get too far.

Maybe check with someone who does taxes, and see if they have any suggestions.

Maybe look for a better job while you are at it.
