This morning I went to a local coffee shop and when I was walking in I noticed a car with 3 very young children in it. All the windows up with the car not running and I just figured their mother was just running in quick to get coffee but one of her boys got out of the car to go get her and she was sitting in the shop doing piles of paper work with this guy and that made me very upset I wanted to yell at her on the spot but I decided not to and that I was just going to try to report her for leaving her kids in the car in 90 degree weather while she's in there doing work. If she was just getting a quick coffee I would not try to report her, I would have just been a little peeved about it.
So does anyone know How I would go about reporting this woman?
In my state it is Illegal to leave your kids in the car for even a second.

If you are in this situation again, do the following:
Call the closest police station and make a report of children left in a vehicle. They will ask several questions, and then they will show up at the vehicle. Do not leave the area.
The mother will be up a creek without a paddle. Some people never learn, until its their dead or missing child. All you can do is be a good citizen and report the situation.
I made the mistake of confronting a mother that did something simular - 3 kids all under 6 yrs left in a care while she did her grocery shopping. I actually got the store manager to call the cops. It became a huge mess, but I felt better for trying to protect those kids.

Contact the local police department, and tell them all the details as you listed here. They can follow up or will make it a point to look out for that vehicle at the same location again. Someone should lock her up in a hot car for a few hours

You should have called the police immediately.
The temperature in a car with the windows rolled up on a sunny 90 degree day can quickly rise to over 130F degrees.
The point is, you are asking now and online, when the children were in danger, you didn't do anything when you could have helped them. They could be dead because you didn't act.

I would call Child Protective Services. They'll either investigate further, take no action, or advise you who to call.
At the immediate time when the children were in the car, I would have called the police.

I would call child protective services. That is no mother, that is a monster, who should have been reported that instant. She may deny this ever took place, but I would report it anyway. The man should also be very ashamed. That is so stupid, why not bring the kids into the shop? What morons! I would call this instant.

Call the police.
That is bs. Kids can die from the heat. What is wrong with people now a days.
Also - take a picture of her in there and of the kids in the car - for proof.

I would contact the local police and give them the information. I would probably call the CPS and give them the car info to and they would probably follow up with the police to get her information and investigate.
