You may not still be able to be friends. Time will tell if your stronger feelings for him can disappear. Try putting some emotional distance between you. It will give you both room to evaluate what you have and what you want in the future.

Time does heal all wounds-- but remaining friends will make that process a lot harder. Distance may be a better alternative for a few weeks. Find other friends to do some exciting things with to take your mind off it.
Maybe even join a class or a group activity that you have been thinking about trying, Dance, rock climbing, orienteering... get active and away, from him for a little while. Seeing him later after you have done some great stuff will make the interaction alot better. Plus you have great stories to share; With all your friends

I have been there... only my friend and I fell in love with each other. You should never FORGET your feelings for this person. If you do that, then you will have dismissed all that you came to love him for. My suggestion... keep your mind preoccupied with other activities. Go out with your friends, go to a movie, workout, volunteer, go on vacation... do whatever it is you like to do and that will keep your mind off of how you feel right now. BUT... do give yourself time to feel your pain, to cry, to mourn your feelings. If you bottle it up and don't allow yourself to feel sad from time to time, your feelings will only come back to bite you in the butt big time. Good luck and my thoughts are with you.

1. Admit that you like him. Denying your feelings makes them harder to overcome.
2. Avoid him at all costs. Out of sight, out of mind. Eventually, once the feelings disappear, you can be his friend again. Right now, it is not possible.
3. Make a list of all his flaws.
4. Date someone new.

you cant. Especially if you use to love them. I use to date a guy and i loved hI'm, but now im not in love with him anymore i just simple love him. I am currently dating another guy who i plan on spending the rest of my life with but will always flirt with the other guy sometime. I mean its hard to get over someone even if they treated you bad. You just have to accept that the person will always be a part of you life. The only thing that i do think will heal it is lots and lots of time

I have been in an identical situation.
Let me tell you right now if you have the ability to talk to him about this situation do it.
It might make things a little more complicated right now but in the long run it will definitely help you.

Give yourself some time. As long as you haven't confessed it to him, you can very well move on and remain as his friend.
But it is hard.

Its going to take time. Don't let this ruin your friendship, also go out with other men to take your mind off him.
