Open your current web browser
Go to the MSN page
Add a Favorite/Bookmark to the MSN page
Drag the Favorite from your Favorites list to your desktop and drop it there
The Favorite will turn into an icon which open IE with MSN as the home page.

You are refering to the MSN Explorer browser, that at one time shipped with Windows without spending a dime Now, one ought to be a subscriber to MSN Internet Service or join the MSN Premium Internet Software to surf utilizing that "butterfly" browser.

In order to add another browser, just install the browser from the respective site such as if you want to download Mozilla Firefox browser, just go to www.firefox.com & click on the provided link to download it.
Once you've downloaded that Browser, double click on the icon to open it. It will ask whether you want to set it as default or not, it's just upto your wish.
After all this, just go to Tools option in the menu bar, and click on Options. On the Dialog box that appears, set www.msn.com as your homepage.
Easy... isn't it?
