You do know that there's no such thing as a "teacup" anything. What you're looking for is simply an undersized chihuahua. Instead of deliberately looking for a puppy from a back yard breeder that's likely going to have tons of health problems, why not just find a reputable chihuahua breeder and get a healthy puppy?

There is no such thing as a "teacup" in any breed, it's a scam. And only puppymillers sell dogs over the internet.
Unfortunately there are backyard breeders who are breeding small dogs to smaller dogs to produce what they can claim to be "teacups" so they can attract buyers with the idea that they have something "special". This is an unscrupulous practice because responsible breeders breed to preserve & improve a breed as described
in a written standard. Breeding to emphasize a single characteristic (i.e. smallness of size) compromises the integrity of EVERY OTHER characteristic and the result is an unsound, incorrect dog. These dogs are very fragile and unheathy and a type that no responsible breeder would breed! All, in all the practice of breeding so-called "teacups" or "minis" is a dangerous corruption of the breed .All chihuahuas are small. Look for one at your local shelter or at www.petfinder.com

I would avoid "teacup" breeds... they are very prone to health problems, which is no suprise. Their parents were runts, bred to pass on their small size. The smallest of the litter are often the weakest, but these unethical breeders aren't worried about that. They just take the little ones and make more little ones, and make a huge profit off the unsuspecting buyers.

I have a Chihuahua/Dachsund mix that I adopted from the humane society; that was 16 years ago and she's still going strong. She is a real sweetheart and she was only $30 dollars plus the cost of spaying. Go to your local humane society and pick one that really needs a home. Keep unreputable breeders out of business

No - because it's a "teacup" whatever you save in the initial purchase you'll more than make up for in vet bills...
"Teacup" is shorthand for "undersized, poorly bred runt that irresponsible breeders can slap a fancy name on and bilk people out of thousands of dollars with because the buyers don't have a clue".

No such thing as a "teacup" anything. Don't be suckered in by these puppy millers and backyard breeders on the internet. Don't ever buy a dog sight unseen over the net. You will regret it.

There is no such thing as a "tea cup" Chihuahua. It's just a tag bad breeders, pet stores etc put on them to up the price. there are long coat and short coat Chi's, but no tea cups.
You can get a wonderful Chi at a shelter or rescue from around $50 and upwards.
Or find a really good breeder as I did. mine cost from $600 to $1,200. The $1,200 one is show quality.

Try Petfinder.org. You can search for dogs at shelters in your area by breed, sex, and age. It will also tell you if the dog isn't good with other dogs, kids, or cats. Most of the dogs listed have pictures too.
Not only will you save a lot of money, but you'll also give a dog in a shelter a much needed home.

A teacup is only small till they reach 6-7 months they then become anywhere between 7-8 lbs in weight I have one
you can try vet clinics, sometimes people advertise there , or keep checking the SPCA other wise you will have to pay a breeder & yes their expensive but at least you won;t have as many health problems with them as that will cost you more than what you paid for the dog in the first place
good luck
