Je suis = I am
heureux = happy
Je suis heureux = I am happy
Is this correct? Is french grammer the same as English grammer? Thanks!

its perfectly correct...but indeed french grammar is quite similar but there exist some differences.

eg speaking french
speaking=parler
french=francais
but :
speaking french=parler LE francais

see the use of 'Le"

If you're a guy, yes, but if you're a girl you have to be "heureuse".

But you're just lucky, (actually heureux can also mean lucky) because a lot of the grammar doesn't match. And "je suis" can also mean "I follow". If I said "Je suis Alli" it would mean I'm following Alli, not I am Alli...and yet I'm Alli!

Yes it's good,French grammer more difficult then English

French and English don't always match like that but yes you have it correct.
