I eat Orville Redenbacher's 100 calorie mini bags. They are pretty good as they have a slight butter & salt flavor. Only 1 point for weight watchers, which is great!

You can eat any kind you like, but watch the calorie content. Air popped, without butter, is going to be the lowest calorie popcorn option.

Some of the microwave brands have come out with single-serve bags that are 100 or less calories a bag. That's an acceptable choice also, for a snack. I keep some of those at home.

I agree with the air popped popcorn. It's the healthiest and the cheapest. I pop it (a couple of rounded tablespoon's worth, I think) with some Smart Balance Light spread (all natural oils, only 45 calories a tablespoon).

I don't discount microwave popcorn, much, but the chemicals in the bag to make the corn pop and microwaves themselvs scare me. My husband got me some Kroger store brand "natural" once and it contains partially hydrogenated oils in it. Ick. Nothing natural about that. I guess by natural they meant it was butter free. I e-mailed the company, but I'm not sure if I heard back from them.

Just get plain popcorn with no added butter! Try to limit your salt as well. A little bit is okay if you can't eat it plain (definitely better than butter!) but salt also causes you to retain water, and you will weigh more because of water weight! Smartfood also makes a really good reduced fat white cheddar cheese popcorn that is good as long as you only eat it in small servings and watch your sodium intake!

There are alot of different pop corns that you can buy that are light. I get one from Orville Redenbacher that is butter flavored and its 94% fat free that tastes great. According to Weight Watchers - the whole bag is only 2 points which is pretty good.

Unbuttered and lightly salted, or unbuttered and unsalted, depending on what kind of diet you are on. Plain popcorn doesn't have a ton of calories. Just make sure not to eat too much of it!

Any low fat microwave popcorn is okay. There is one in particular called "smart pop" by Orville that has 100 calories and1 g of fat per bag and a decent amount of fibre. In weight watcher's points, that's only 1 point per bag.

Many "lite" popcorns exist, they aren't too bad on fat, they aren't quite as tasty either, I eat kroger brand lite, it is pretty good, just look at the amount of calories and fat. Sodium also if you are on a low salt diet.

vegan popcorn, it's still pretty high in calories, a little less i suppose but it doesn't contain a lot of other nasty ingredients that are bad for you, here, instead how about you do portion control? like 2 handfuls of popcorn and then that's it, or just 1 cup, that'll not have so much calories and you'll still get a tasty treat
