Only those of us on the outside looking in can see the reality of this situation.

He obviously is a very insecure man. He needs to feel wanted and admired and like he has that special something that makes him disirable in not just one woman's eyes...... but all. His insecurities won't allow him to be second to anyone. He can only feel good about himself if he feels that EVERYONE seems him the way he so wants to be seen. He needs these women NOT for sex as much as the mental and emotional affirmation it gives him. But is this what he is looking for in a mate?

He requires a woman that would ONLY be there for him. This is because that is part of his pathology. He needs to know that she would be loyal and only desire him. Yet ironically....... she and she alone can not feed his need of acceptance by the masses.

Of course he'll never see this. Because part of his issues include that what he is doing serves a purpose.... a very real purpose for him and therefore that makes it ok...... makes it different. If he understands his need..... that is what is important. This also means that "her" feelings matter little and so in essence this "love" and "acceptance" that he is ultimately seeking will never come because he has no concept of how to love anything but himself.

Don't you just feel sorry for guys like this? *cough*

Very ironic really. If you look at it another way, the man is the real whore in that situation. But noone would ever call him that because society seems to think the term is exclusively for women.

Sorry ladies, but as a guy, we are just in it for the sex. Most guys really don't go in for that mushy stuff, unless the sex was so great they want to stay around for more, and then it is usually just a facade.
At least up until you get to your late 30's. Then things change a bit, but mushy-ness is still only feigned.

It's a cultural thing. Historically the great playboys and rakes fell deeply in love with the women they were with. There's something uniquely American about using people to get what you want and then throwing them away.

absolutely not, because in the eyes of society, if a woman gets around alot she is automaticllay a ho, but if it is a man who does the same, then he is a 'player'.... completely ridiculous, but sadly very true....
