I've tasted them all and the Chesapeake blue crab is by far the best. After they're cooked, tear up the meat, add butter and parsley and then eat it while it's hot. Dungeness crab is a close second that's found in the state of Washington, but if you want the best go to Virginia. I throw away crab legs because around here we call them slim pickins'.

For flavour, the Dungeous Crab is the hands down best North American crab with a richness unrivaled by other crabs. It is followed by the Blue Crab, Stone Crab, Pacific Spider Crab, Behring King Crab, and finally Snow Crab.

taste depends on the person, however I have eaten almost every type of crab around the world and I have one particular favorite, Florida Stone Crabs. There are other stone crabs so don't be confused. The harvest is only of one claw, the crab has one to eat and defend itself and grows a new one back. ( Environment friendy) look at link I provided these are in a word "heavenly". If you cannot find them they can be purchased online. A distant second is Alaskan King Crab yet they are still delish! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Florida_stone_crab

* One 4-ounce package cream cheese, softened * 1/2 cup mayonnaise * 1/4 cup finely chopped onion * 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice * 1/2 teaspoon hot pepper sauce * 1/2 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning or other seasoned salt Preheat the oven to 350°F. Place all the ingredients in a medium bowl and blend together with a spatula. Turn the dip into a 1-quart casserole and bake, uncovered, for 30 minutes, or until heated through. Enjoy :-D

The King Crab are delicious! I have had them once before, and they are just wonderful! They are huge, and very good and tender if you cook them right. Melt a little butter, and dip your King Krab in it! Corn is also a good side dish to go with the King Crab if you decide to have it. =]
