Why would they be extinct as a result of the flood if Noah obeyed and took them on the ark? If they died out soon after, does that mean God's plan to save the animals was flawed? Most importantly, can you not see that taking the flood story as a factual historical account creates more problems than it solves?

The bible clearly states that man was the last thing God created. The animals were here long before man ever existed. So I'm sure God had some animals he took away and then made some new ones long before man stepped on the scene. So the dinosaurs were long gone before Noah cruised in his Zoo on water. The bible said God created Earth in seven days. Moses (who wrote Genesis) nor anyone else in the Bible but Jesus and Elijah was anywhere near Gods level. So Moses said God created the Earth in 7 days and nights because that was as deep as he could get on Gods level. Man created time not God. So seven days and night could mean 7 million days and nights to God. Did I lose you. You all are making God far to Earthly in your understanding of him. So to sum up this answer you should have read all of Genesis before you asked this question then you would have understood better. God created the animals long before he created man. So the dinosaurs lived and were long gone by the time we hit the ground on Earth. In this case Science and the Bible agree. You need to ask God to give you a better understanding of life. Because you are very simple minded in your understand. Or maybe you didn't take the time to read the whole book of Genesis before you asked this question. When your not informed you make yourself look dumb.

No, Noah was only suppose to take 2 of everything. That means everything else had to kick the bucket.
