I have a lot of fully cooked ham. What dinner dishes can I make with it. I'm getting tired of just sliced ham with veggies on the side. No breakfast recipes please.

Chunk ham with pineapple and bell(green) pepper and serve over rice with a thickened pineapple teriyaki sauce.

Here are some ideas for you.

Ham and cheese dinner omelet, serve with a good green salad
Ham and rice casserole--recipe follows:
2 cups cooked rice
2 cups diced ham
1 (16 ounce) package frozen broccoli, thawed
1 onion, chopped (saute first)
1 cup milk
1 can cream of mushroom soup
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

In 2 quart casserole dish layer ham, rice, broccoli and onion.
Mix soup, milk and cheese in bowl, pour over layers.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, or until hot and bubbly.
I sometimes add buttered bread crumbs to the top before baking.

Ham and white gravy served over a baked potato, topped with cheese

Ham, noodle, mush soup and froz green pea casserole

Ham stir fry with mixed veggies and serve over rice or just ham fried rice with eggs and some veggies.

Chef salad with strips of ham and hard cooked eggs

Ham and cheese quiche

Navy bean soup with ham or split pea soup with ham

Ham and Potato Casserole


1 cup sour cream
1 package dry onion soup mix
1 cup milk (any kind)
salt and pepper to taste
6 cold, cooked, potatoes, sliced thinly
3 hard boiled eggs, sliced thinly
1 cup cooked ham, diced
1 cup soft, buttered bread crumbs

Blend sour cream with onion soup mix and whip with a hand mixer until well incorporated. Stir
in milk, salt and pepper. In a greased 1 1/2 quart casserole, arrange in layers 1/3 of the potatoes,
one sliced egg, 1/3 of the sour cream mixture and ham. Repeat layers. Top with buttered crumbs.
Bake at 350 for half hour. Makes about 6 servings.

Ham Jambalaya

INGREDIENTS:
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
2 large onions, chopped
1/2 green bell pepper, chopped
1/2 red bell pepper, chopped
2 medium cloves garlic, minced
2 cups cooked diced ham
1 cup uncooked rice
1/2 teaspoon thyme
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 drops hot pepper sauce, or to taste
1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
1/2 cup chicken broth

PREPARATION:
Heat oil and butter in a Dutch oven or heavy large saucepan; add onions, bell pepper, and garlic. Cook, stirring occasionally, until lightly browned. Add ham and rice; cook and stir until rice is well coated with oil.

Add thyme, salt, hot sauce, tomatoes, and chicken broth. Cover and simmer until rice is tender and liquid absorbed, about 20 to 25 minutes. Taste for seasoning and add more salt and pepper sauce as needed. Serves 4 to 5.

get a slice of ham & slices of pineapple & red/purple onion - heat all three and stack up - the three are a good combo

Reuban Cassarole

1 cup cooked ham diced
1 sm. bottle of Thousand Island dressing
1 can saurkraut
1 pkg. frozen obrien potatoes
1 bag shredded swiss cheese
1 tsp. salt & pepper

Preheat oven to 400. combine ham, potatoes, dressing, kraut, cheese, s&p. pour into baking dish and cover with foil. cook for 45 min. (Hint: thaw and drain potatoes for a few hours before using them.)

I like adding ham to mac and cheese made with white cheddar and adding a can of cream of mushroom soup or cream of broccoli. :) its easy, not a lot prep and it tastes really good.

You could make split pea soup
or baked potato and use it as a topping
or make a strombolli with it

we always use it to make potato soup. just make a rou and put 4 potatoes in it...a cup or two of ham and lots of shredded cheese...
u can also make baked macaroni and cheese with it...thats really good.
