an 18 month old pup shouldn't be refusing food. your best bet would be to take him to the Vet to make sure that there's nothing internal that's giving him a tummy ache. AND DON'T FEED PEOPLE FOOD, that will only make matters worse.

First you need to find out if there is some medical reason that the dog is not eating. If nothing is found then don't try tempting the dog. This is what it wants and has now trained you to do it. Try not offering dog food for 24 hours, then offer it for about 10 minutes. If the dog does not eat pick it up and don't offer again until the next scheduled feeding. Repeat until the dog eats. Believe me the dog will not starve itself and won't suffer any consequences from not eating for a short time. You are feeding a quality feed right? Not Kibbles n Bits or O'Roy, right? Remember this picky eaters are not born, they are made.

Some staffs do go without food for a few days but i try tripe food aldepends where you come from, usual comes in big bags and its frozen so you take a little out at a time,we normal microwave it for 60secs then put it in their dry food (luv it),also try chicken and maybe a little cheese. A lover of 4 staffs, good luck!!

Try boiling some chicken, cut in small pieces and put in blender with small amount of water and puree, most dogs will eat this when nothing else. Also if your pet hasn't been wormed lately, repeat a worming on it.

you have spoiled him too much, i know it is hard not too but you have given him too much choice.
he thinks if he does not eat what you put out he will get something better.
a dog will not starve himself, just put his food down, when he is hungry he will eat.
i have just been through the same with Bella, over the worst now thank god

take the dog's rectal temperature. Should not be more than 38.5°C. If more, than your doggy has got a fever and he needs treatment.

Good luck
