You shouldn't have a problem, especially if the smaller dog does the job of "raising" the bigger one. I have several Siberians (30-50 lbs) who have been raised with my Standard Dachshunds (20-25 lbs)...the adult Siberians still try to roll over on their backs and lick the Dachshunds' chins when they see them (which is actually pretty funny).

I have a friend who has a huge kind of water dog, and also one little kind of white dog. They've been living together for 3 years now, and enjoy each other's company. They play together, and the big one washes the little one all the time. They're just happy to have each other's company...another dog in the house to them is like us having another person in the house.
My friend had the 2 dogs meet outside, where they sniffed eachother, then played, and then, she brought them inside. Like that, they met on neutral territory, and no one was tresspassing.
Your dogs will surely be fine. Dogs are smart, and good inside. They'll sense if you're nervous about the situation, or calm and positive. So, believe in them, and things should go well.

No problem. My little Terrier mix, 20 lbs, was 5 when I got a beagle put. Six month later I got an APBT pup. So the two pups grew up with the little guy and together. The play together and run around like crazy. In my opinion the best way would for the pup to be brought to your house so it can grow up with the older pup.

I got 2 yorkies that weight like 5 and 10 lbs. Then I got a belgian malinois who weights about 60 and they get along very good actually. I got the malinois when he was 8 weeks old and introduced him to the 2 yorkies when they were full grown and they all do fine together. Every one in a while, our male yorkie will try to bit him because he wants to play and hes so much bigger then him but they tolerate eachother so I wouldnt worry much.

There shouldn't be a problem with them ever living together. My friend has 3 dogs (all very different sizes) and they coexist great together. The 3 of them are their own mis-matched pack of dogs.
When introducing them, I would take them to a park or a place that is "neutral" territory. You don't want them getting off on the wrong foot by making one think that the other is invading his/her territory. Let them meet in a neutral place to get acquainted then they will be fine! Good luck!

ah just let'em go. Let nature figure it out. Put them in a small room so they have to be together but big enough one can get away from the other.
I have 3 dogs. 1 is 12 lbs. 1 is 22 lbs and 1 is 226 lbs
they all get along fine.

Of course they get along. They're just like people, we all have big friends or small friends. If you keep the pup make sure the Silky grows accustomed to the new puppy. It might get jealous for a while if you begin to pay more attention to the new little one. But they'll get along eventually.
