The acceptance of any socially and physically deviant behavior is not a good sign for the future of any society.

Load of nonsense, dude.

Yes, gay lifestyles existed and were widely accepted but the reason why civilisations collapse is that they become too big to support themselves. They cannot continue to control, feed and placate the masses and their wealth becomes an attraction for other nations to rise against them.

It has nothing to do with homosexuality.

We should accept gay people as any other people. it's the gay life style that threatens the core of our society. Not only is it not natural(gender wise) it affects how people interact with God and his word.
The bible doesn't say that we shouldn't smoke but we know that it is dangerous to our health so we shouldn't do it. However the bible explicitly says that homosexuality is a practice that is particularly offensive to God and it makes a mockery of the person's own body and life.
I have taught my adult children something about God when they were growing up. I taught them that God does not speak against something unless it is dangerous to your personal relationship with Him or if it is dangerous to you personally or to others. God is about preserving people, families, communities etc.
The very fact that God speaks out so strongly about this issue will eventually drive a wedge between an openly gay person and God. That in turn makes a gay person seek (other) counsel.
That leads to even worst decisions and yes if the general public goes along we are in for some rough waters in the not too distant future.

Acceptance will not lead to the downfall, if by acceptance you mean tolerance and by tolerance you mean not punishing those who practice the lifestyle (or conversely providing the same level of rights and expecting the same level of responsibility from those who practice the lifestyle as those who practice hetersexuality) If by acceptance you mean embracing and celebrating the lifestyle, then yes it will lead to the downfall. BTW, homosexuality does not inevitibly lead to child molestation; that is another issue altogether. The people in the homosexual lifestyle for the most part are just like their straight counterparts--they aspire to home-ownership, close friendships, excelling in their careers, enjoying the fuits of their labors, etc...They seek to meet legitmate needs, but from a biblical perspective they do so in illegitimate ways. Do not be misled, homosexuality is a sin but no more so than any other biblically identified sin. The lust of a heterosexual man for a women is no different, in God's eye, than the practice of homosexual copulation. Each one has his/her own pet sins, we just look more "condemningly" on those whose pet sins are different from our own.

No.

Greece actually took over most of the known world and sustained an empire for quite a while, and while it fell into slight decline after the death of Alexander the Great, it still stood strong until the Romans took over.

Rome did great until it overextended itself and got overrun by Goths and Visigoths and Vandals and such.

If I wanted to push propaganda, couldn't I JUST AS EASILY point out that Rome only fell after the Christians took over? Therefore Christianity is bad for society, by your logic.

Homosexuality had nothing to do with the fall of either, and you would know that if you had read anything on the topic.

Shame on you for trying to equate homosexuality with pedophilia!

Prejudice against gay people will one day look as silly in the eyes of most as prejudice against black people appears today--it's stupid! (Most people have already done away with anti-gay prejudice, by the way.)

For "zerospacegurl" - Why shouldn't we connect homosexual with child predators? More than 70% of homosexuals have been found to be child molesters! That's a HUGE percentage and one that should make people wake the heck up!

Whether or not homosexuality, bisexuality, etc., are no longer found in the DSM IV, it is still a disorder!!

Sin is ALWAYS a choice!

Not at all. I am not very educated on your theories or whatever, but think about this. How many child molestation cases in the past two years involved homosexuals? Less than half of the cases were acted by heterosexuals.
Second of all, we have had homosexuals around for a veeery long time and I don't see us burnin yet.

greece declined mainly for political reasons. small city states permanently squabbling could not stand up to unified monarchy of macedonia and hellenism in some way negated the efficiency of the citizen armies after the downfall of alexander.
the western roman empire collapsed for a large number of reasons, but i don't think that homosexuality was one of them. i have always favoured the argument that the acquisition of land by the wealthy and the replacement of the latin peasant by cheap slave labour led to the lack of suitable man power for the roman army and in the end they had to rely on mainly german mercenaries. and the romans had always accepted a degree of homosexuality both during their rise and fall.

Rome fell because of homosexuals? What history book are YOU reading? Rome's society was destroyed due to the economic and military pressures involved in occupying far-flung and hostile territories. I don't think Gay Pride brought them down.

So in answer to your question, I don't think so. We have many problems - poverty, disease, trade imbalances, nuclear proliferations, etc. - that might lead to the destruction of society as we know it, but homosexuality isn't one of them.

No. Child molestation did not lead to the down fall of the Roman Empire. Over expansion did. Read history - not propaganda.
