They still have to work out all the details about his crew and sponsors at HMS. They couldn't get all these details figured out before the big announcement because the story would have leaked earlier. Rick said in the press conference that they will get everything in place within the next 2 months or so. I think they would do best to work with what they have at Hendrick Motorsports and leave Tony Eury Jr at DEI. I know Jr has a comfort level with him but he may be one of the things holding Dale back. They certainly aren't lacking for competent personnel at HMS and Rick has a knack for hiring the best minds in the business.

Hard to say. I hope for Dale's sake it is not Tony E.
Dale should just take a fresh start. The people a Hendricks could do without the drama that follows Dale and his cousin as well I am sure.

Well I wish that Eury Jr. will follow him, but i think he is still under contract with DEI. So...they will probably get a new crew cheif, who knows who it will be.

Its a good question but I think Alan Gustafson is the leading candidate at this point. He is a good up and coming chief within the Hendrick organization and I don't see them dumping him. I also don't see the Eury's coming to Hendrick.

OMG!! Rick Hendrick called me today!! I got the job!! Yeah, I'm going to finally have a job that pays more than minimum wage!! Oh gees, I need to team up with Steve Latarte and Chad Knaus now to learn what they do and how they get away with so much stuff. I'm going to learn all the sneaky tricks! Wonder how long it'll be before the world says I'm sleeping with Dale Jr.??

I have to agree with some of the others. Don't get me wrong, I like Eury Jr. but I think Jr wants a fresh start. Maybe he needs to just distance himself from DEI for awhile.

Tony Eury Jr. is wanting to be Jr.'s crew chief.
I believe that he will be talking with Hendrick's.
All we can do though is wait and see.

Crew chief is undecided, the number of car is undecided, the sponsor is undecided, how well Dale will do with Hendrick is undecided.... alot of these questions are on are undecided. Where is Kyle going, well it's undecided too.
