I was a bank teller. One day we noticed a couple of plain clothes policmen walking around with their K-9 (german shepard). We didn't think too much of it until they came behind the counter with our manager.

They told us later that they were searching for a bomb because a threat had been called in.

Nice of them to tell us or let us go! They (our idiot manager and the police) felt certain it was a hoax so they didn't close the branch. Meanwhile we had about a 100 customers in and out during the hour they were there searching.

At the same branch, I found the same ceiling/water accident as you did one morning when I opened the branch. It was fun to see the smoke coming out of one of the moniters. They made us drive to other branch offices and basically sit around and do nothing for the day (they did not have enough teller stations for all of us). Again, the manager was an idiot.

No, I do not work there any more.

I trust that you're in Singapore because i do no longer comprehend how the regulations and guidelines paintings in different international places. I had an same issue and the owner of the floor above refused to settle for that it became her flat that became wetting my ceiling and floor. The leak also short circuited my electric powered device many situations. It went on for months. both our apartments were tenanted out. sometime i got here across that her tenant moved out. I were given carry of the residing house manager and performed a examine. We got here across that the water meter became ticking even if the flat became unoccupied. We met up with the owner one Sunday and we spent many hours for me to educate that the hid pipe became leaking. ultimately, it became got here across that a pipe joint interior the wall became leaking badly. For the sake of being neighbours we shared the fee of upkeep and portray the affected parts in my flat. The residing house administration might want to no longer be held to blame for the upkeep because it became no longer area of the favourite public section. close each of the fittings and look ahead to an hour of two and word if the water meter registers. It it does, then there's a leak someplace. If it does no longer sign up then the leak would nicely be from the bathroom bowl or lengthy bath or "porous" floor. a majority of those relies upon on the age of the progression.

In one job I sat down in the office and thought "Oh it's cold" only to find that the window had been removed by thieves after the computers - they didn't get anything but I was plagued all day by police officers.

And (at another job) I got in especially early only to find that the computers had been stolen. Bit of a pain as I'd got loads to do that day! Turns out the cleaner's husband did a sideline in 'second hand computers', strangely enough!
