I was reading the entry list on the nascar website for both races this weekend. I seen that Scott Wimmer is on the entry list for the Busch race in Kentucky to drive the #29 Holiday Inn car, but he's also on the Cup race in Mich. entry list to drive the #33 Holiday Inn car also. Looks like he's shooting for a double duty this weekend between states.

I think this Busch driver has alot of talent and could possibly be RCR's 4th team driver next year. What do you think? Do you think he will make it into the Cup race this weekend by qualifying on time?

Oh, Wimmer is going to try to get into the Cup race this weekend? Thats kool. But, it's going to be a hard job doing the double duty thing, simply because he doesn't do it often or ever. I would guess he would have as good of a chance to qualify for the race as anyone else who isn't locked in. Hopefully his RCR team will provide with him a great car, I would love to see him race. As far as that 4th team at RCR, yeah Wimmer could be a possibility, but Kyle Busch is now a free agent, and there's no telling who else out there Richard Childress may be talking to. Just have to wait to find out, may not know until the end of the season.

Good Eye! I didn't realize Wimmer was making another attempt. Last time I saw him attempt, he failed to make the race. I really hope he does make it @ Michigan. He's very talented and has been runnin' GREAT in the BUSCH series. He has really impressed me in that RCR equipment. Bein' a Ward Burton fan, I fell into liking Wimmer when he took the wheel of that 22 Cat car a few years back. I'm glad he's now landed with a top-caliber team and can show us what he can do. I'll be rootin' for him to make the race... Mikey too!

And as far as him driving the 4th RCR car next year, YES, I'm almost positive it will be Wimmer. I couldn't believe they'd sign anyone else.

I don't know that Wimmer is what they are looking for in a 4th Cup driver. While he is talented I think that his talent may run out at the Busch level. But he really hasn't had a chance at Cup in good equipment. BDR wasn't exactly a good team for him to start his career at.

He should have a fair chance at making that race at Michigan. He obviously will have the equipment, but with as many cars trying to qualify as there is days they will have to be at the top of their game.

He's another good driver from Wisconsin. I like the way he drives but his DWI he got a few years back hurt his marketability some. He will make it back to the cup level fulltime in the near future but I would be surprised if he made the race at Michigan. He could be in line for the 4th RCR spot or possibly a good fit at Ginn, they need to get some younger drivers they can develop and build on.

It's great to see that, my brother is a Wimmer fan, and I just end up rooting for him too. We'll see how good he is, he did finish 12th at Homestead last year in the 33. And for those of you who think he's not that good, remember which teams he was driving with before, definitely not great teams, so we'll see how well he will do in a RCR car.

i think not though it is a good match. I think Wimmer will go with toyota for a while longer and i think RCR is going to have a young (rook) driver for the 4th team.

Glad to see drivers doing double duty! Bobby Allison used to fly around all over the country and enter races wherever he could. It's a wonder he had time to sleep :^)

Scott was a good driver but he had a lot of bad luck. I would like to see him make the Michigan race.
