Do you believe in love?

If so, you've got no proof -just evidence, the way you are treated and what you feel. You take it on faith.

Same with God. Only more so.

What? There's no proof for God?

Golly, i always thought the universe was enough proof. I guess all those countless hours i spent researching the universe were wasted, because there's no proof. :/

That, and history is just full of the amazing advancement and progress caused by Christianity: the foundation of science, personhood, captalism, limited government, human rights, etc. But that can't be proof, can it?

And then there's that strange longing everyone, everywhere, has felt, so that every society since the dawn of humanity has had some form of worship. Hmmm. That's not proof?

After all, everything above could just be coincidence. Just depends how you look at it, right?

;)

There is no proof that there is G-d. There is plenty of evidence, though. I must believe. People choose to believe in G-d because it gives us hope and a reason to go forward. Belief, trust and hope this all I have, so that is what I take, and I utilize it to give my life meaning and love. Bringing G-d into my life this way actually seems to make G-d more real, like the concept of G-d makes much more sense when I actually believe it. Hoping is better than not hoping, believing is better than not believing. Any other way of life is just pointless, empty, why would G-d want us to live empty lives with no purpose, is there a purpose to that? no there is not, that is why I believe.

It's called Faith.
I am lucky to have been given proofs though. You just have to open your eyes to see them.
Have you ever heard that Jesus said, "If you have ears"? or "For those who can hear Me, let them hear."
He means 'if you understand'.
That fact that almost all of the prophecies are correct and have happened as it was said, says a lot to me.
The fact that I have visited most of the places in the Bible and have seen the sights. The fact that the some of the Jewish scientists who have studied the Shroud of Turin have since become Christians says a lot to me.
The fact that there are two individuals in Paris, who claimed to have been visited my Mary 100 years ago have not decayed after dying says a lot to me.
A virgin who was killed by the Romans because she would not have sex due to her religious beliefs (she was Christian), was dug up almost 200 years afterward and as fresh as the day she died says a lot to me.
On some things you don't have to look for devine intervention, it's right there in front of you.

Who said there is no proof?

I was agnostic, but wanted an answer (one way or another, I didn't care which). I then found God - and by that experience I then knew God existed.

Ever since the day I embraced Him in my life, He has been my calming effect, He has been my strength in how to interact with others, to love someone without knowing them, to forgive without forgetting. He truly makes me feel powerful and able to share my faith with others. It is an internal feeling for me. That is what makes me believe....the internal peace that I know I am loved by at least one very awesome person.

If u saw a pocket watch in the middle of a field u would think that all its gears and everything just happened to fall in place, someone designed and made it. Just as when you see the complexity in the universe it leads you to believe someone desifned and made it, GOD

The events in my life make it impossible to doubt. If you were drowning and didn’t realize it, but somebody came along and rescued you, could you doubt the existence of your rescuer?

You only grow in understanding through submission to God’s Will.

I've read the Bible and ecided that it makes more sense than an atheistic poin of veiw. I choose to believe in a God who loved me so much, He died for me so that I could be with Him forever.
