I was watchin VH1 and they were covering celebrity diets ... and "PURE" chocolate is very good for you, and the older celeb's are eating pure chocolate for anti-oxydents.

If you have not medical concerns a chocolate bar is not a bad thing, but not all chocolate is created equal. Dark chocolate contains a lot more cocoa than other forms of chocolate. And standard chocolate manufacturing destroys up to half of the flavoniods. But chocolate companies have now learned to make dark chocolate that keeps up to 95% of its flavoniods.

Many people don't realize that chocolate is plant-derived, as are the fruits and vegetables recommended for a healthy heart, Chocolate still is loaded with calories. If you're going to eat more chocolate, you'll have to cut back somewhere else. And remember that a balanced diet -- and plenty of exercise -- is still the key to heart health.

You'll need to do about 1 hour more a day of walking or biking to offset adding a chocolate bar a day to your diet. Otherwise, you won't be thin much longer.

Yes it is alright as long as you are getting some exersize and have a healthy diet I would recommend one of those 5 calorie chocolate bars but as long as the calories are below 250 you are alright.

I work at a hospital so I should know.

Apparently dark chcocolate is very good for you, it contains riboflavins or something like that.

The experts say eat a couple of squares a day, but if you're anything like me, a couple of squares just isn't good enough lol.

I think one bar a day won't do you any harm, chocolate lifts your mood and as long as you don't go overboard, why not indulge a bit.

Everything in moderation as my mum says lol.

I would say 1/2 bar of DARK chocolate. Chocolate is good for the heart, but sugar is bad for every organ.

Given your fitness level, you may be able to get away with one chocolate bar per day. I'm not as fit as you and I have a couple of squares of dark chocolate every day, and it hasn't made me gain weight. Chocolate is actually good for you -- it's all the milk, cream, and sugar in chocolate that's bad for you. As long as you keep exercising and the rest of your diet is well-balanced, you should be fine.
