SHELTIES!!! They are the cutest thing and when they are stand only about one foot and a half off the ground. They also have a long life span. I have heard of one that lived a little more that 16 years. They don't shed a ton but they do a little. Shelties also have good tempermant too. Some of them can be a little snappy, but are still very good. If you want a bigger dog that has even more chance of being more friendly then the collie it is...It is just pretty much a big sheltie.

I have two small dogs, which I have had from puppies and they are now 7 years old. A Lhasa Apso who is loyal, friendly, playful, fluffy, very laid back and fantastic with kids and a Maltese Terrier-a typical terrier, quite yappy and dominant but still fantastic with kids and very loyal. I would recommend both. Ours were about a year old when our daughter was born and we have never had any problems at all. She is now 6 and loves to cuddle them and play with them but they do tell her when they have had enough. Both small and cute but quite resilient-never been to the vets with any illnesses apart from teeth. Good luck!

Jack Russell Terrier Cross, Yorkie Cross, Bichon Frise. You can look SMALL DOGS up on google images and then you can see all the small dogs. Dont forget there is also dogs homes. Foal Farm is one i got the dogs from there.

There is no such thing as a Miniature Doberman. The correct name is Miniature Pinscher. They are not at all related to the Doberman Pinscher.
Anyway, go to www.akc.org for a list of toy breeds.

Its got to be a chinese crested !! Both the hairless and powderpuffs are totally cute. I am owned by 5 of the crazy, loveable devils.

as long as you are getting a dog for right reasons the cute small ones are pomeranians, pugs, yorkie terriers, maltese, chinese crested, oh there are to many to choose
