exercising before eating is fine. it's not good to exercise for a couple hours after eating because you need blood to digest your food and for your muscles. this can cause unnecessary fatigue.

I can't really imagine what positive effect it could have. EXCEPT that over time it will shrink your stomach causing you to eat less eventually. But this is just a guess. I am in no way a fitness expert, and can only speak from my own experience which was to exercise at least an hour before going to bed. In Navy bootcamp we exercised after breakfast each day. It just seems that sit ups before you eat (and stretch those muscles back out, depending on how much you eat) would be defeating the purpose. I'm only guessing, though.

Well, there is a saying that doing situps will affect your appetite, i saw in the news that doing excersice before eating will make you go for smaller portion, its also good for your mentabolism. You could try to do that for a month and not doing it for 1 month, and record down the results. How much you eat after you do situp and how much you eat if you don't. How long you take to get hungry again, and what you crave. Then you will know, anyway, you can IM me too, k?

Situps are good. But, only do them when you're dieting and REALLY trying to lose weight.

I did situps but didn't diet seriously. Over time, it's as if my stomach muscles formed but the fat never burned off. My stomach stuck out a little more than before. It sucks!~

Never had any problems. After, it can give you a little nausea if you exercise REALLY hard (I threw up once when I ran straight after dinner). But before, no problem at all. Usually I will eat less if I exercise before a meal.

Not at all. It's better to replace glycogen within 15 minutes that your heart rate goes down anyway.
