Anybody working in a machine shop to-day?

Working in walthamstow many years ago. Centre lathe turner, Cva setter,milling machine, cylinder grinder. The last 5 years working on a vertical boring mill. Gave it up for a cleaner job.

The number of machinist are becoming less. Most of it is done by CNC. Also, most of it is being done by third world countries such as India and China. It is a labor intense job and the labor is less cost than here.
No I am not a machinist. I just saw a bunch of them loose their jobs in manufacturing and Aerospace.
