Anything can be bad for you if you have too much of it.

I'm also addicted to coffee... but I like mine plain. :)

No way! Actually, according to an article posted on the U.S. News & World Report Web site on Dec. 11, 2005 ("Enjoy! You thought coffee was bad for you? Actually, it seems to protect against all sorts of ills, from diabetes to liver cancer," by Kathleen McAuliffe), researchers at the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases found that having two cups of coffee per day can cut the risk of chronic liver disease in those who are at greatest risk for it.

"It also turns out that a cup of joe--or a carafe--may chase away the blues; turn you into a better athlete; and protect against diabetes, Parkinson's disease, gallstones, and some cancers," McAuliffe wrote.

McAuliffe quoted Lona Sandon, a registered dietitian and spokesperson for the American Dietetic Association, as saying, "If its benefits continue to mount, coffee may come to be viewed as a health food."

So there you have it. Coffee is good for you.

if taken once or twice a day or in moderation, not bad for your health since coffee contains antioxidants. However, if taken too much it will cause pulpitation as it contains caffeine (even if it is decaffeinated). Your body will rely on coffee for its source of energy.

Coffee, chocolate or any other similar foods that contains caffeine can be addictive if taken in large amounts. I suggest that if you really can't avoid it, try to search substitutes. I would suggest what they call CAROB powder (similar to chocolate or perhaps your hazelnut coffee drink) but it doesn't contain caffeine at all.

You can find it in international food stores or some groceries nearby.

I hope this helps.

I don't think so. It's got a lot of good qualities that sort of "balance" it's bad qualities. What is bad for you, is if you get the triple chocolate, double whip, extra sugar, cream, butterscotch and hazel nut latte....in the biggest size. Having a cup of coffee each day with some cream and light sugar is not terrible. Getting the biggest and sweetest coffee from Starbucks every morning, is a guaranteed one way ticket to Fats-ville where you get such luxuries as diabetes, high blood pressure, and an irregular heartbeat...and fat.

Caffieine does have a leaching effect on the calcium in our bodies. But that is only a concern if you drink more than 2 cups a day. Just make sure you add some dairy to your coffee.

i don't like anything about coffee...not the smell, the taste...not even the name....

but i don't think it's bad for you...yeah it is addictive, but i don't think it's bad...i think that for hundreds of years humans have been hooked on this thing without a problem...it's just now a days that all these discoveries about how bad it can be for your body are being found...

my personal take on it and any other food product that has been around for ever but just recently became bad...is that perhaps it's what ever additives they are putting into it that we the general public have no clue about...i think that is where the problem is coming

One day you hear it is good, next day you hear it is bad.
I say anything in moderation is okay.
Dang, now days breathing the air is bad, I say have what you want in moderation.
I think people stress way too much on what is and isn't bad for your health
Again, I think it is all about moderation, don't overindulge, have just enought to satisfy that craving
Have a couple of cups of coffee, it's not going to kill you.

It's not bad, unless you take so much of it.
You can take 1 or 2 cups a day, and it's perfectly ok, unless you already have gastritis.
You should take something else as a breakfast, don't make it the first meal, take something else in the morning before you have your cofee.
If you have just cofee or orange juice as the first meal, this can cause you gastritis as well.

As one of the chief stockholders in Starbucks Corp. my company has done more research then anyone and I can guarantee you that our scientists have found that 4-5 cups of coffee a day can increase mental function, raise life expectancy, and in some cases cure cancer.

No as a matter of fact ~ it is good for you ~ it has antioxident properties. Drink too much and you might get shaky though. Try to keep it to 3 cups a day.
Remember Caffien is a stimulant.
