if you don't have a bf/gf, who SHOULD you bring?

does that person has to be the opposite sex as you?

Usually your guest is supposed to be a "date," but if you want to bring a friend that you can talk to and hang out with, then go for it. (And you don't have to bring anyone if you choose not to.)

If I were to bring someone to my friends wedding I would bring someone who I could have fun with just in case the wedding gets boring or the people there are up tight. As for what sex the person that you are going to bring is, that is up to you. For me though i would bring my best friend that so happens to be a girl.

Bringing a guest is always nice, but not necessary. If you aren't in a serious relationship, then I would suggest not bringing anyone. The cost per guest can get very expensive so unless the couple is suggesting you bring someone you should reconsider.

I went to a wedding with my best friend (who was also a girl). It was good fun. She didn't have a boyfriend at the time, and I had nothing to do that night. Definitely doesn't have to be a member of the opposite sex.

Girls can bring girls, guys can bring guys, but it is kinda weird if you are single and looking. I was going to bring my sister to my friends wedding that way I didn't look so pathetic, and I could still look for girls. My sis ended up not going. It was the best thing that could have happened to me. I met my girl friend at the wedding that was a year ago June 9th.

IMHO, I wouldn't bring anyone besides my significant other. The bride and groom pay for each plate that is served, and who am I to up their costs so I can have some personal entertainment?

if you have a boyfriend or girlfriend, bring that person.

if you don't have one, and you know other people that will be at the wedding, go alone, and save the happy couple some money!

I usually will ask my brother first, he's just fun to hang out with, but if he can't go then I invite a good friend, male / female, it doesn't matter. As long as you both get along then it's all good.

It's traditionally a "date", but bring whomever you want. If you just want to bring a friend do so.
