I wouldn't choose a religion based on that. I would look at the fact that Jesus had around 300 prophecies written about Him 100 of years before His birth. He rose from the dead in which there were hundreds of eyewitnesses that saw Him and the Romans who guarded His body could not produce the body to prove that He wasn't raised. This is just a small sampling of why Jesus is the Son of God. No other faith comes close.

Absolutely not! Now, there definitely has to be evidence in one's life that shows one has received Salvation in Christ. Works in the Christian life is shown by the fruits of righteousness that you bare / obedience. But why would you even think a religion was better than Christianity? Ask yourself why these religions are based on " works?" I'll tell you. Because they have no other hope. Because they don't serve the God that died for them, thereby negating the only way to attain Eternal life. Salvation, to them is more about man-made rules than the great sacrifice of God

No. You won't benefit. Don't turn away from what you have been taught. First of all, do you really believe in Christ Jesus? Your parents don't make you a christian, going to church does not make you a christian and being "born and raised christian" does not make you a christian. Unless you "believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord." then you are not a christian. Do you honestly truly in your heart believe in Jesus? It would better have been for you to not know the word of God than to have heard the Word of God. God will hold you in high judgement. Consider this as an warning that if you turn away from God this day or any day, God will judge you and judge you harshly because you have parents that have raised you in the way of the Lord Jesus. You might already know the word of God but ask God to show you that He is real. He will show up if you seek Him, even though he's there, i sense that you haven't been seeing him, so please i beg you for your sake talk to Him, and read His word.

Christianity...silly though it is, was the revelation of God as a Loving creator, and that acts of charity should be done out of a true sense of selflessness and love, not in promise for a reward later.
Leading a Christ-like existence is the way to salvation, not only in this life but the next. Act out of love, keep a mercful hand.
If you can't be selfless, can't act out of pure love, then you do not understand what it is to be Christian yet, and you have a ways to go.

Actually, no. Not all religions believe that the ultimate spiritual goal of human beings is to be "saved."
Some hold that life is hard but good and should be celebrated here and now. We are have the power to make our own way and choose actions that improve our lives and those of others in our community.
Living well is its own reward.

I guess it all boils down to what YOU personally believe. Most religions do, in fact, teach that you must do something for yourself in order to gain salvation, paradise, eternal life, or whatever that faith calls it.
Christianity IS unique in its assertion that Jesus Christ did all that is required. Christianity is also unique in its teaching that Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to salvation.
It all boils down to this: Do you believe in the words of Jesus Christ? If you do, then you cannot follow another religion. If you don't, then you cannot follow Jesus Christ.
It's your call. :)

Do some real study of Islam first, I did for two years.
While there are some things I do like about Islam, there are others that I cannot ever agree with.
In the end, you have to search for the truth and follow it. For me, I could not deny the Divinity of Jesus, or accept Muhammad and his lifestyle as a true prophet.
So I became Catholic instead.
Peace and God Bless your search!

You want to do good works for the wrong reason. You want to prove that you are a "good enough" person on your own.
Problems:
1.) God requires complete perfection.
2.) You have already blown your chance at perfection.
3.) You are, (if not trusting in the merits of Christ) an object of wrath in the eyes of God, and at emnity with Him.
4.) By proclaiming your own goodness, you deny the full propitiation of Jesus.
5.) Finally, in doing so, you're actually spitting on the cross of Christ.

No I do not. I believe if we could do anything Good and pleasing to have salvation, we would not need a savior. We cannot earn, nor do we deserve salvation, it is the gift of God through faith!

I think you have to do what feels right to you. I don't practice either but I believe in being a good person to be a good person. You get out of this world what you put into it.
