Where are you pulling your definition of free will from?
I should add, that I don't believe any human has a "free" will, but a will that is bound by nature--sin nature.

We are all God creating our own reality. If you look at things in a spiritual way instead of a physical one, you will realize that we are all Creation. But what is interesting is the idea of Free Will. Free Will is a tool created by Creation to allow us to follow our own paths and create new ideas.
Yes, mistakes, pain, and suffering are natural results to the abuse of Natural Universal Laws. Many are not aware of the Universal Laws that bind the Universe. Free Will can easily go against these laws, thus creating misery for ourselves.
Through this misery are lessons to be learned. Once these lessons are learned, we grow spiritually and become closer to the creator. We will evolve as a Human race in time. Once we catch on that Free Will is a tool for collecting wisdom and contributing to the expansion of Creation and the Universe, we will become a higher evolved civilization. We will start doing things the right way. We can create our own Utopia and eliminate our own, so called, Hell.
You are a spiritual being living a physical existence in time and space. God is not a separate entity looking down on you and judging you. We are all connected as One. Nature, physical matter, DNA, Space, Galaxies, everything is One. All the answers are already within you. Practice Meditation. Get close to your inner self. Feel the Love.
God makes mistakes. God Lies. Because our free will makes it so. We are God. Just like when a baby learns how to crawl. We make mistakes to learn how to Love. This Love will bring us closer to God. And then Our physical reality will become a Blissful Utopia of Heaven. The goal is for humans to become spiritually evolved to the point where we can create Heaven on Earth.
As you can see we are not doing a very good job. But, we will learn our lesson. Even if it is the hard way. Free Will is a tool for you as the Creator to explore yourself in a different way to expand, grow, and collect wisdom along the way to make a better you and a better Universe. Why? Because you Can.

God most definitely has free will, and honestly, since the fall, He is the only one with a truly free will.
God cannot sin, lie, etc. Not because He is not free to, but it is not in His nature. A car can't fly because it is not able to do so, and God's pure and Holy nature is such that sin is an inconceivability. Were God to sin, He would no longer be Holy, just and good. Everything as we know it would be forefit.
The most difficult thing for the sinful human mind is to conceive of a perfect, holy being who is just. That is why when we blame God for our misunderstandings and opinions based not on true reality, but on our sinful conception of it.

Of course God has free will. His humor in handling many affairs shows through repeatedly. Remember, we were created in his image -- not physically, but in attributes, abilities.
Can God sin? No, because he doesn't want to.
Can God lie? No, it serves no purpose, and he doesn't want to.
God does not however all the time tell us the whole story! That he many times leaves for us to search out ourselves by studying the Inspired Word and the book of Nature that he has written.
There is a fascinating scripture where he shows how he teaches men, as it states he teaches us by giving us a brain to figure things out, then by having us do things by trial and error, we finally learn.
This is the manner God uses to instruct us.
If you want the scripture ask.

Yes He does have free will
Can God sin? Absolutely not
Can God lie? Absolutely not
Those 2 things are against the nature of God.......
Edit:
Riegan....God is capable of doing anything....but sin does not exist in the nature of God. If He sinned, then He would fail to be perfect.

God is not man that he should sin or lie. The concept of free will, sin and lie does not exist in Gods nature. God is omnipotent and omni science. God says and his word does not come back void.

God has established the universal law applicable to all. You draw power from this law according to your requirement either to sin or lie and face the consequences. Success in life or failure in life depends on the type of power you draw from universal law through your mind. God need not and will not interfere unless you approach him with faith.

God is all things and is eternal, He has no need for free will because HE never needs it. We as humans, however, need it because of our sin and the choices we are allowed to make. God forces nothing on anybody, it is all about choice and free will. just remember...."choose wisely"...have a super day!

God does have free will. He can do anything He wants. However, if He did sin or lie, then He would no longer be God, as He would no longer holy and sinless.
