Cat bites can become infected even if the cat lives inside. It can become quite serious too. I know of a lady who's cat bit her hand and she almost lost her fingers due to infection. It would be a good idea for you to see your doctor about the bite. Do it soon, just in case. If it's nothing, no harm done. If it's infected, you'll be super thankful you went! Why risk it?
As for bathing cats, sometimes it Does need to be done! I have even bathed FERAL cats! I use the bath tub and turn the water on low, so it's quieter. Let the cat move around the tub a little, keeping your hand on it at all times. Works like a charm!
Good luck with your bite, hope you heal quickly!

The only thing that concerns me is the fact that you said the cat had feces on it. Why did this happen? Is the cat sick? How old is the cat? The bite wound should not be bad, but if germs from the feces got in there, it could infect the area. I have scars from scratches and bites. I rescue and get bit and scratched repeatedly. I have never had one get infected though. I use peroxide on it several times a day and it takes about two weeks for it to heal up. Usually on most of them, they are too large to use antibiotic cream on. I would have to bandage my whole arm. I would just watch it very closely and if it gets fire engine red or if you see red streaks coming away from it, then get it checked. If it is cleaned regularly though, it should be OK.

It sounds like you have taken care of it properly, so I wouldn't worry. Signs of infection would be if it becomes hot to the touch or swollen, or if you develop red streaks from the site of the bite along your hand. If you see any of these, see a doctor. Since your cat is an indoor cat, it's unlikely that he carries any infection or germs.

You are brave to bathe your cat yourself! I would take mine to the vets, they are way too wild and I wouldn't want to risk it. But usually it's not necessary to bathe a cat, they will take care of it themselves. They have very good digestive systems so they can tolerate almost anything that might get inside them while they're cleaning themselves, including feces. Next time just leave him alone for a while, and I bet he'll clean himself.

Good luck to you!

Some can be. A lady I work with was bitten on the leg by her house cat last year, and was off work for over a week, receiving IV antibiotics each day.

You need to go to Urgent Care.

Well it sounds like something is very wrong here. It should not be swollen and you should be able to move it. My cat has bitten me many times, and nothing bad has happened. I suggest you go to your doctors asap to make sure you did not get a bad infection.
