Seems to be a contradiction here. This person is saying, on the one hand:

"Even reading and explaining the Gospel to an unsaved person will do no good. God teaches us in Matthew 13:13:

Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

God tells us that He does not intend to save everyone in the world"

... and on the other hand:

"I am not sure if you are saved, only God knows that. Perhaps one day in your life He will draw you to Him. All we can do as Christians is spread the Gospel to you. The rest is up to God. God is Merciful, cry out to him. "

Well if we're already condemned whatever we do, what's the point of praying? And if we're already 'saved', then likewise. And why say to spread the Gospel, and that it will do no good, in the same breath?

Can anyone please explain this apparent self-contradiction?

Only God knows the secret things, such as who is predestined to salvation. God has revealed things, and we are responsible for our response. God so loved that world that he gave his only begotten son, that the world should not perish but have eternal life through him. Your duty is to turn from your sins and turn in faith to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Because we don't know what God will do. He could have mercy on you and save your soul. We don't know what God knows. Only God knows the heart and what He has created. We try to snatch the unsaved and unbelievers out of the fire of hell by preaching and teaching the gospel. We are told to love everyone. If we didn't love the unbeliever, we would keep our mouths shut and say nothing. Just be uncaring people. We have enough of those in the church already. I don't care how much you try to embarrass me, I love you enough to try to get you to believe Jesus so He'll save your soul. I know hell exist. I don't want anyone in that place.

in straightforward terms whilst the sinner is repenting. extremely inquiring for forgiveness. i think of what Maguyver is saying is ... Does God hear the prayers of an unrepentant sinner, somebody who have faith's yet isn't serving God. No He does not hear the prayers of somebody who's unrepentant. John 3:36 He that beliebeth on the Son hath eternal existence: and he that believth no longer the Son shall no longer see existence; the wrath of God abideth upon him. John 9:31 says all of us understand that God does not hear to sinners; yet whilst all of us is God-fearing and a Worshiper of Him and does His will, He listens. in straightforward terms by actual repentance does God hear your prayers.

Yes. Despite the fact that God knows everyone will not accept Christ, He still commands us to go and preach the gospel to everybody. That's mercy in the highest degree. No one will have an excuse. God reveals Himself to whomever He pleases. Can't blame Him for knowing ahead of time who will accept Him and who will reject Him. It's called omniscience. Ever tried it?

OK... yur reading into abit much... you embrace God and become a good person and you might havea chance... but God IS NOT gonna bother with ppl who do not bother WITH HIM... it's common sense. You act as though God doesn't exist... he won't exist to you unless you make an effort for him to help you, directing you on how to get saved.

I don't know if you are saying this or you are saying someone else said it, but God has not desire that anyone perish, 2Peter 3:9, however God will not force you to come to Him, if He did it would not the Free will.

The way I see it, should the big guy in the sky exist, then he is going to favour those who led a good life without the fear of Hell, over those who led a good life, just so they don't go to Hell.
