Each person has there own beliefs. Perhaps she is vain, perhaps she wants to fit in on the international stage. It seems everyone accepts muslims women better if they throw off the hijab. God knows and it is Him to judge. I don't think there is any muslim queen that wears it. She would deffinitely make a good role model though. Royalty tends to be westernized ...they usually study in the west etc...You should read the book about the woman who grew up in the royal family in Morocco...I forget what the book is called. For some women hijab is an extremely hard thing to do.

Just think, if she did wear it the whole world would say that Jordan's Royal Family are extremists and they are trying to get all of Jordan to wear the veil etc...etc..etc...

Check out the link below...I think you might find it interesting.

That the veiled Muslim woman by all means should be regarded as oppressed is a myth that ought to be killed.

Many people are scandalized by the veil, but only few seek an explanation from the Muslim woman herself; her voice is often overheard in this matter. If she is asked, on the other hand, the veil represents freedom and dignity.

O Prophet! say to your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers that they let down upon them their over-garments; this will be more proper, that they may be known, and thus they will not be given trouble; and Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
(Sura 33, 59)

Say to the believing men that they cast down their looks and guard their private parts; that is purer for them; surely Allah is Aware of what they do.

And say to the believing women that they cast down their looks and guard their private parts and do not display their ornaments except what appears thereof, and let them wear their head-coverings over their bosoms, and not display their ornaments except to their husbands or their fathers, or the fathers of their husbands, or their sons...
(Sura 24, 30-31)

In the Quran, the term hijab is used of the attire of the Muslim woman as a whole, but also includes the way she lives and acts. In everyday language it often only refers to the veil or scarf itself which must cover the head and chest.

This is, so to speak, the exterior sign of the way of life of the Muslim woman, but you also speak of having hijab in ears, tongue and heart.

Here there is no reference to a specific veil, but to a suitable behaviour in accordance with the precepts of Islam.

This prevents her from hearing, speaking or feeling negative things of other people.

Hijab is derived from the Arabic word hajaba, which means to conceal or to prevent from being seen.

The garb must be loose and opaque and must be worn, whenever the women either leaves the house, or whenever male visitors not belonging to the family are received.

Only the hands and face may, according to the prophet Mohammed, be visible, but this point is rather controversial. Some also choose to cover these parts of the body, but more often than not this is the result of the personal choice of the individual woman.

As for your question about the queen

She said, 'Surely, the kings, when they enter a country, despoil it, and turn the highest of its people into the lowest. And thus they always do;

There is no force in Islam, no pressure to do something that you do not wish to do. Therefore it is a womans choice whether or not she wishes to wear a 'hijab' or not. Everyone is reponsible for their own actions, therefore Queen Rania is responsible for what she says and does and it's her own problem if she has something against it. I am a Muslim and I don't wear hijab. I dress modestly and I would like to wear a hijab in the near future, and that is my own personal decision that I face.

Just remember that in the pre-Islamic times in Mecca and also in Jerusaleum pre-Jesus, the women wore 'hijabs'. The perfect examples are Mary, mother of Jesus and Mary Magdalene.

Heres some links

The levels of clothing

Clothing has three levels:

1. Obligatory. This is covering one’s nakedness, and warding off the harms of heat and cold…

2. Recommended. This is wearing beautiful clothing, in order to look good and adorn oneself, displaying the blessings of Allah.

3. Prohibited. This is dressing out of haughtiness and arrogance.” [Zayn al-Din al-Razi, Tuhftat al-Muluk, 277, Dar al-Basha’ir al-Islamiyya ed.]

And Allah alone gives success.

we do it for the respect of God and for the sake of God, now Mrs queen Rania has a problem or not with the veil that's her problem. she is a human being like everyone, she gives birth, go to the bathroom, eats and drinks. what i care most is what God think of me. but she didn't talked about those women who dress naked on the street rather than attacking women who fear God. at least their are women who fear God in this life and time.
