I would try purchasing your fruits and vegetables from a store that deals strictly with natural produce. Health food stores, or a farm you know does not use pesticides. You might have a reaction to the chemicals sprayed on these items. If you still have the same reaction, then I am afraid you are allergic to fruit and vegetables and I would go to an allergist.

That is not what is know as a 'normal' allergic reaction. Usually an allergic reaction to something is a rash, skin itching, hives (raised areas of skin). When the throat would be involved it would swell, not really itch.
If it really bothers you, speak to a doctor about it. If you aren't having any of the other symptoms of allergic reaction, just make sure to wash the fresh stuff well before eating to rinse off anything that may remain from growing. This may be irritating your throat.

Which fruits and vegetables are causing the itch? Keep a food diary.
I doubt you are allergic to all fresh fruits and vegetables- but you might be allergic to something that is sprayed on them to make them look pretty in the store. Try buying from a local farmer's market instead and see if you get the same reaction.
Good luck.

If it happens with all fresh fruits and veggies then that is very unusual and you definitely need to talk to a doctor to get to a diagnosis. Some people are allergic to certain types, but I have never heard of anyone allergic to all. For example, if I eat fresh strawberries or pineapple, I get mouth sores, but this doesn't happen with other fruits.
There are cross allergies, i.e. latex allergy is commonly accompanied by cross-reactivity to fruits, particularly avocados, bananas, or kiwi. But again, this is only certain fruits.

No one else so far seemed to know what you are talking about. I suppose you mean almost all raw fruits and vegetables. It is called oral allergy syndrome. It is related to pollen allergies. Do you have hayfever also? I used to have that too. I would break out in a rash if even the juice of some raw fruits or vegetables got on my skin. I went to an allergist for my pollen allergies. After five years of being on allergy desensitation shots, my allergy to raw fruits and vegetables went away! Technically, it is not a food allergy, it is classified as a contact dermatitis.

You must remember what kind of fresh fruit that causes those throat itching. For the moment, you should refrain from eating those fruits that causes those itching, or maybe you can take a antihistamine before eating those itch-causing fruits.

The question has no specifics.
Type of fruit, veggies?
Source of both?
You may have reaction to something on the food. The storage area you use may be contaminated.
What seasoning do you use?
You may be allergic to it, but you can not deduce that without considering many other factors .
Re frame the question.

You need to see an allergist. Meantime, try the canned fruit and see if that helps. Chemicals that haven't been washed off may also be causing you problems. This is NOT a MINOR problem; find out for sure!!! You're in my prayers! Hugs, Gina C.

Huh, that's weird, and sad. Go see a doc who specializes in allergies, who knows it may just be the chemicals that they put on the fruit and not the fruit itself, good luck
