I love Psalm 139, 91, and Psalm 8.
Psalm 91 speaks directly to me, as when I go through the storms of life, it reminds me that I am safe. This Psalm is a beautiful picture to me of how God is my security, for He protects me from evil.

Isn't it interesting how out of the way people will go to try to get a reaction?? Obviously a person who doesn't read the Bible or believe it is God's word to mankind will not read any part of it often!
Ok, sorry I got sidetracked!! I like Psalm 119 - it encourages meditating on God's word. Psalm 91 reminds me of that Kutlass song "Strong Tower."

i'm muslim, former roman catholic way back 1977, but here is a chapter for you to ponder in psalms.......what's the shortest chapter of the bible? Psalm 117! What's the longest chapter in the bible? Psalm 119! What's the middle of the bible in accordance to chapters and verse? Clue...there are 594 chapters before and after this chapter, add 594 to 594=118(8). This is the center of the bible(haven't counted it personally). The verse states " It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man'. .....Blessed be!

Psalm 4 is an evening psalm and Psalm 5 is a morning psalm - very often we sing these accordingly in our family worship. I personally love all the psalms and we sing them exclusively.
Psalm 105:2 Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.
James 5:13b Is any merry? let him sing psalms.

I am "born again" but I was never really into the Psalms. I prefer the New Testament, particularly the Gospels. I am familiar with Psalm 23 though, but aren't we all?

Psalm 23 The Lord is my shepherd. If allow myself to be led by the Lord all the time I would not have to walk through the valley of the shadow of death.

The twenty second psalm. Because it foreshadows the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross and gives us insight into how much he physically suffered for us.
Also, this is one written by David trying to talk of his own distress when his son had overthrown his kingdom. David unknowingly becomes an instrument of God and is identified with his descendant Jesus.
