In a sense, yes...
This happens all the time, in this physical realm, if you have your eyes and ears (Mind) open to perceive it happening.
As it was said, by the Christ, "...When you see your likeness, you rejoice. But when you see your images which came into existence before you, which neither die nor are manifested, how much will you bear!"
I have bore much, leading me to discover much...about my True Self... but, I don't think 'persecute' is necessarily the correct word to use here.
We are here to learn, about our true selves, and it is the individual who is "awake" who will pay attention to that, and turn these "persecutions" within selves, in order to come out stronger and wiser.

I am persecuted on a daily basis for my being a Wiccan. I have had my tires slashed, had burning crosses on my front lawn, anti-witch hate graffiti spray painted on my house, been physically assaulted, been sabotaged at work ALL because I follow Wicca.
Christians do NOT have the market cornered on being persecuted at all. You folks whine and cry when people just say that they dislike you... I WISH that's ALL the folks who hate US would do. I can handle that standing on my head sipping a Coke. Try encountering some REAL persecution and then you TOO will REALLY know what persecution is.

As more and more of us do Gods work we come under more scrutiny and yes, persecution. But be not afraid, He went before us, He was persecuted first and foremost. As we do His work, we get closer to Him and sometimes feel the same things that He felt when He was here on earth as a mortal man.

Hi James,
I feel like this whenever a loved one is cruel to me, or there's some other apparent injustice in my life.
I've discovered that if I can 'ride the bull', and not give way to hatred, I can win a very deep & long lasting & highly beneficial (to the power infinity) peace.
That peace is the type which leads, when consistently dwelt in (in such circumstances) and learnt from... to enlightenment knowledge, at its various levels.
May we all some day, come to dwell in that peace.

One I know. What was discovered was that one knows themselves better than others. The True voice of the soul is what " speaks ". . . and that is what's to be listened to...not the others reflecting the " persecuting " manners. That True voice of the soul is " God " the One. And, if you know that you're right with the One...than you're good to go.

I have. But I learn to then lean on the Lord more. By doing this I have peace.

Not me.
I've never been persecuted.
Well - there was that one time, but I got over it.
