The short answer from the Medical Practitioners is no. There is no cure for cancer.
Having said that, I will tell you of an infomercial I saw on TV a few weeks ago. There was a gentlemen promoting his new book which basically was about herbs correcting medical problems and how Doctors are in the back pockets of the drug companies. The doctors prescribe drugs that keep the drug companies in business basically.
In the infomercial he detailed how to cure some specific illness with products found around your home. For example he said that acid reflux goes away completely if you sip a quarter ounce of vinegar. The acid in the vinegar breaks down the amino acid causing the acid reflux. I tried this and it actually did work for my acid reflux.
Anyway in the infomercial, he claimed that doctors know the cure for cancer. He details in his book that there are herbs available to get rid of cancers in the body. He also said that he is not allowed to publish this cure he discovered , in the United States, because if would be in violation of the FDA. So he promotes his book with his cancer cure from the confines of Canada.
Who knows if it is true or not. The part that I believe in however, is that I do believe the Doctors in the US are in cohorts with the drug companies.

Well it depends on what sort of cancer it is, and what stage it is at. It is certainly possible to definitively "cure" certain solid cancers with surgical excision if the disease is localized. Many other cancers are highly effective to chemotherapy or radiation or a variety of combinations of surgery with or without chemotherapy/radiation pre- or post-operatively. Cancers that are highly responsive to chemotherapy (e.g., certain childhood leukemias) may go into remission with treatment and lead to lifelong disease-free survival. So although there is no magical pill that cures all cancer in its innumerable varieties, some cancers certainly can be treated in a timely fashion and result in a cure.

There are cures for many cancers but many cancers are still incurable. Remember cancer is a myriad of diseases. Many great advances have been made in the treatment of cancers. Now approximately 1 in 3 Americans will develop some type of cancer in their life time. We do many things that predispose ourselves to different types of cancers including smoking, polluting the world around us, some of the foods we eat, lack of exercise, etc...
We develop new treatments (some of them are cures) for cancer every year.

There are no known cures for cancer yet, but there are many foundations looking for a cure. For now, only treatments are available, such as chemotherapy and some others.
If only there was a cure! I lost my fourth grade teacher to cancer. It is very hard to deal with that sort of loss. :(

"Cancer" is a group of diseases, so there will NEVER be a "cure for cancer" any more than there will be a "cure for traffic accidents"! Each cancer is unique, indicates a different treatment, and has different levels of risk and survivability. The good news is that every day we find better ways to treat the cancers that are out there. The bad news is that the world is still full of worthless human leeches making a living selling hoax generic "cures" for cancer.

Currently there is no cure for cancer, only treatments to relieve the symptoms.
Now for genetics and environmental factors you have little control over these, however, you can eat non processed foods, exercise and remove excess stress in your life. These have been known to contribute to the development of cancer.
As a cancer survivor I can say that these have really helped me when no other treatment works.

Age, genetics, lifestyle, stress, lack of exercise, environmental facts are the basics for cancer.
prevention is better than cure,
high fibre food, bioflavournoids, antioxidants, phytoesterogen and variety of diet rich in fruits and vegetables, drinking alchol only moderation, exercise regularly is factors to prevent it.
