I don't believe that God supports parents spanking their children. He doesn't spank his followers when they disobey him, but teaches them through natural consequences for their actions. There is also no way to compare the old testament "rod" scriptures to today. After all the old testament condoned stoning for minor infractions. And no, God didn't spank Jesus. What kind of question is that?

Since Jesus never sinned, then NO.
God did, however, spank me (in a sense). When I strayed away, He brought me back. After I'd lost everything, He gave me everything, because He loves me.
In the book of Proverbs (these are statements made by Solomon, the wisest man ever), there is a statement that has stayed with me for many years. In chapter 3, verses 11 and 12, it says......(11) My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord, neither be weary of His correction. (12) For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth, even as a father, the son in whom he delighteth.
If you do wrong and KNOW you've done wrong, without repentance, God will definitely "spank you".

If you know God supports parents spanking their children,...how come you don't know if he spanked Jesus.

I couldn't imagine being spanked by god. It would probably hurt alot. Of course he didn't spank Jesus. Why kind of question is this anyways?

This is for Jaicee~ Who are you to judge and call people ignorant? Do you even know what abuse is? Not a spanking!!! Im not going to sit here and call you names like you have called over half the people in the world that use spanking as a form of discipline becuase it is not my job to judge you only God can do that and Im sure as long as you arent abusing or beating your child I dont think GOD is going to damn anyone to hell for that.
As far as the question Jesus was without sin so I dont think he was getting spankings

Why would God need to spank Jesus, Jesus never comitted any sin, & he was always in God's perfect will, Because he came to do the will of his Father.

Well doesn't the bible say to stone your uppity children? So I don't think spanking would be an issue.
