I agree with RB -
It happened to me in February 2007 when I was prideful and hating my husband as a result. I began praying (mercifully begging) that the Lord would take the hate away (knowing it's wrong) - - then all of a sudden something wanted to come burst out of me from within my gut out to my throat.
Then - - there - - it blurted! I began speaking in tongues & crying, too. I felt soo electrified! Prayed in tongues all day that day while driving everywhere! Been praying since!
I learned that when I freely give up ugly things about myself, God replaces it with something beautiful! Amen!

I was at a retreat and had a fight with a good friend that I had not seen in awhile. This and other things got me to question my entire involvement in my ministry.
The following morning, i was showing some other students how you can pull a cattail apart and let the seeds float on the breeze. The Holy Spirit then made me realize that my purpose was to show others the incredible beauty of God's creation. I was filled with an incredible sence of peace of mind and joy.
Yes, I cried.
I do not think that being filled with the Spirit is something you go out and seek or go and get done. It is something that happens to you.

I am filled. I don't think much happened at first. I spoke in tongues. But the most important thing thing is hearing God. Scripture became alive, and I am constantly learning new things every time I read a passage. Also, I hear God speaking to me.
So if anyone reading this is considering getting spirit filled, I recommend it.

Yes, it happens just about every other time I go to church, or maybe when i sit alone and pray. I feel relieved, and sheer happiness...but I think for the most part it's very indescribable. I feel safe.
