I can give you recipes, but that's what I like! Good as it is, it might not be what your dad loves.
My favorite for father's day is what dad loves best and rarely gets to eat.

This is my husbands favorite so this is what I am making and I have made it a few times so I know it comes out good
Chicken Francese
4 skinless, boneless, chicken breasts (about 11/2 pounds)
All-purpose flour, for dredging
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
4 large eggs
3 tablespoons water
1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
1/2 lemon, with rind, cut in thin rounds
1/2 cup dry white wine, such as Pinot Grigio
1 cup chicken broth
1/2 lemon, juiced
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/4 cup chopped flat-leaf parsley
Put the chicken breasts side by side on a cutting board and lay a piece of plastic wrap over them. Pound the chicken breasts with a flat meat mallet, until they are about 1/4-inch thick. Put some flour in a shallow platter and season with a fair amount of salt and pepper; mix with a fork to distribute evenly. In a wide bowl, beat the eggs with 3 tablespoons of water to make an egg wash. Heat the oil over medium-high flame in a large skillet.
Dredge both sides of the chicken cutlets in the seasoned flour, and then dip them in the egg wash to coat completely, letting the excess drip off. When the oil is nice and hot, add the cutlets and fry for 2 minutes on each side until golden, turning once. Remove the chicken cutlets to a large platter in a single layer to keep warm.
Toss the lemon slices into the pan and cook for 1 to 2 minutes, until fragrant. Add the wine, broth, and lemon juice, simmer for 5 minutes to reduce the sauce slightly. Roll the butter in some flour and add it to the skillet, this will thicken the sauce. Stir to incorporate and dissolve the flour. Reduce the heat to medium-low and return the chicken to the pan; place the lemon slices on top of the cutlets. Simmer gently for 2 minutes to heat the chicken through. Season with salt and pepper and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
And a salad anad bread and maybe pasta on the side and a cake and the kids are gonna make choc. chip cookies (another favorite. Hope this helps

quickly and uncomplicated!!!! in case you could't prepare dinner his steak on the grill, get a sturdy boneless steak. i'd use a 0.5 and 0.5 mix of Worcestershire and liquid smoke. Pierce the beef throughout with a fork or beat it with the sting of a saucer to tenderize it and marinade the steak interior the refrigerator for a minimum of 0.5 an hour (longer for added style) and broil for about 30 or so minutes . Do the baked potatoes interior the microwave. Poke some holes in them and wrap them in cellophane. Microwave them for about ten minutes or till you could stick a fork in them fairly. Throw in a tossed salad and he will be good to pass. Tastes large.

I think the perfect Father's Day dinner would be a nice good Delmonico steak grilled outside with a baked potato, green beans and corn on the cob. And...a big glass of sweet tea!

1 pound ground beef

Fried chicken, creamed potatoes (gravy on the side), steamed buttered broccoli, baby sweet carrots, green salad. Dessert - homemade peach cobbler. Yum!
Fried chicken:
2 cups buttermilk in a deep bowl (sprinkle salt & pepper) and stir
2 pieces of chicken per person ( I fry legs, thighs and breast - skinless boneless)
Cooking oil for frying
Chicken fry or flour
Once chicken is rinsed, pat dry with paper towels, sprinkle chicken with a little salt & pepper and poultry seasoning and put to soak in buttermilk. I put my chicken fry or flour in a big ziploc bag, (a few pieces at a time) and shake well until completely coated. In a large pot, heat your oil and when hot add your chicken, cook for 20 minutes or so until fork inserted produces only juice - no blood.
Repeat until all chicken is cooked - I put only 2 or 3 pieces to cook at a time.
Clean and steam your broccoli and drain. Remove to a serving bowl, add slices of butter on broccoli, salt & pepper.
Boil your baby carrots, drain, remove to serving dish, slice butter on carrots, sprinkle with granulated sugar.
Make a fresh green salad of mixed greens, tomatoes, thin sliced red onion, avocado's, and other fixings of choice.
Peel and boil potatoes until very tender. Drain well. Mash in big bowl with cream and butter, salt and pepper - I like to chop fresh parsley very fine and add to top of potatoes once put in serving bowl.
Peach cobbler - Cook 2 cans of peaches in heavy syrup with 1 cup sugar, add 1/2 block butter and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon and when cooked down, add a little cornstarch dissolved in cool water to pot to thicken. Pour into a greased casserole dish and make a topping of bisquick and milk and roll out on floured board, carefully place rolled out crust on top of filling and roll edges, cut slits in top and sprinkle sugar and cinnamon over crust. Bake at 350 until crust if nicely browned.
