Since you are studying the Laws of Attraction, you have probably also came across statements that encourage you to take some action on the things that you don't like in your life, be it a job or any other situation. If you aren't happy with the results that you are getting from what you are doing then you need to change your tactics. Now, I don't mean just walk out this second and go penniless until something better comes along.

But if you are seriously dissatisfied with what you are doing then you should definitely change it. Once you begin looking for other things, focus on that, rather than the stress you have on the present job.

Picture yourself getting the job you really want and how it will make you feel when you have that job. It will highly affect the way that you react to the stress that you have at the current time and the positive energy you release will also attract better things to you.
This is the most important thing in applying the law of attraction in your life. To release positive energy rather than the negative.

When I started my own home business I was terrified of the unknown. But after listening to "The Secret" and studying "The Success Principles" I have achieved goals far beyond my greatest expectations. You can do this, too!

There is so much material available to help you learn how to refocus in life and I have a computer full of free things that I have downloaded. I would be glad to share any of it with you if you would like. Just shoot me an email to bonnieram1962@yahoo.com and tell me what your goals are and what it is that you would like to improve in your life. I have learned that the most satisfying thing we can do is to share anything we have learned with others who are faced with things we have been through in our lives. And I have definitely been where you are!

I look forward to hearing from you and helping you resolve these issues. Just let me know in your email that you are from Yahoo answers since I don't know your name. That way I will know what we were discussing.

Be blessed and not stressed!

You can stick it out and make it. As someone said earlier...only one more day until Friday.

What exactly is the job? What are the problems?

You said, "I have a BBA." This is great. Have you considered going for an MBA? Start thinking about it.

Next, you said, "And I have been a temp with this company. And they will not hire me on permanent due to budget." There is not much you can do about this except try to meet your own needs as best you can. Do you need health insurance? Try a program like "America Protect" or "AmeriPlan". They are not as good in terms of benefits as traditional employer based insurance, but they can significantly cut medical cost. Different insurance companies have good rates for contractors too. Shop around.

If it is stability you seek, just know that nothing is guaranteed, even a "permanent job". So the status as a permanent overrated is overrated. Also, would you like to be a permanent employee under the other conditions you discussed. It would get worse, not better.

Next, you said, "And they keep giving me more employees work. I process 500 accounts a day. All I am is data entry machine. That is all I do....it used to not be like this." Do what you need to do, but try to make it comfortable for yourself. At least with data entry, you can so other things like listening to music or self-help tapes. Tune out, get through your day and keep looking for other opportunities.

I like the idea someone had earlier to take a few days off to focus on your job search. The person was right that they will never know.

Hang in there girl!

I have been at my job for 16 years. At one point, I was put in a position that I liked until significant changes were made. On top of that, a new supervisor who lacked leadership skills got the position. We clashed like ice water and hot grease.

Things got so bad that I was an emotionally train wreck. I was losing weight (the only positive thing), could not sleep or think well. I was really considering cousenling. On top of that, a job that I really wanted, I totally messed up during the interview and did not get it.

But, once I decided to make the very best of the situation, focused on God through out the day, saying little prayers all day and stopped thinking of all the evil things I could do to the supervisor, I began to find peace. And after giving God the problem and feeling the peace and comfort from Him, I was able to deal better. I was able to focus on what I could do and stopped feeling like a failure. In less than a year, when I was least expected, a position that I wanted was offered and I got it.

In saying all of that, my friends could not really help, I was not helping myself and things were getting BAD. But once I just could not deal anymore and gave it to God, wonderful and great things occured.

So be strong, continue to have a positive attitude and if you don't believe or are not sure about God, give Him a try and feel how good He is when He controls the environment in your life.

Oh, don't walk out. Girl, you know that you got bills to pay too!!! Don't let those people make you loose your funds!

May God's Peace be with you.

As I tell my wife, who is in a similar situation, realize this is just temporary and don't let it control you. You are not your job. The second you step out of the office, leave it all there. Enjoy life outside of work because work is only there to serve as a resource for that enjoyment.

Plus, if you are young, you aren't in a career position yet. The early jobs are there for learning experiences. Think of it as a way to learn. If you can deal with adversity in a positive way, it will make you more valuable in your next job.

Good luck!

Ron

Well your on the right track in looking for other employment. Unfortunately, you will need to use your present job as a reference for future job prospects, so you really need to hang in there the best you can. So, what you really need to focus on is handling your stress until something better comes along. During stressful moments remind yourself that this is only temporary and it will pass. It's great to see your trying to be positive, keep it up. Fake it till you make it. I wish you all the best.

I understand how you feel.. It is awful being in a stressful job. As much as you feel you want to walk out, do NOT do it without another job lined up. I did that once, thought if I didn't have such ad emanding job it'd be easier to find a job after I quit.. I was wrong and spent 3 months unemployed with no unemployment money.. If you quit, you will NOT get unemployment. Stick it out.. careerbuilder.com and craigslist.org are your friends! Search them every day and the classifieds. Try not to think "Ugh.. another day in this hell hole" but think, "Another day closer to finding that job of my dreams and leaving this place!" Because it does take time. But, every day is closer.

Hope this helps.

STOP! Now take a deep breath and let it out slowly. Relax and begin to focus on what it is you really want and it will come to you. If you let this get under your skin it only makes you sick from stress. Imagine that you are going to get that other job and things will get better. I quit my job cause those people were making it an awful place to be. We are struggling and it is really tuff. Try to hang in there till it's time to move on. Good Luck

Hi,

What you feel is what hundreds of thousands are feeling at the moment. They work hard to make money and not the other way round.

Here is my advise (from Jim Rohn) :

"The Lesson Of The Seasons"

We can't change the season - but we can change ourself.

We have a chance to live an extraordinary lives. Climb the ladder of success as high as you can.

Here is how to do it...

Work harder for yourself than you work on your job.

Let me say it again .....

Work harder for yourself than you work on your job.

If you work hard on your job you will make a living, that's perfectly fine but if you work harder for yourself, you will make a fortune!

Our income is determined by our philosophy. We can't change the season but we can change the philosophy.

We can change the economics. We can change our belief system.

Here's the philosophy :

Success is determined by something you attract - by being attractive. Become an attractive person.

This is the secret law of attraction.
