i need a icon to get on the internet.iam using d-link?

How do I install a icon .i am using a D-Link dwl-G122 adapter wireless. so i can go directly to the internet

Why? It's already there, click on the big blue "E".

You do not want to use D-Link's software to connect to the Internet - just use the drivers.
Restart your computer and you should see on the bottom right hand corner of your screen - a computer scree with "waves" coming out of it. At this point you should see a "bubble saying what wireless networks are available. Click on it - see your network - click connect.
After that - all you would have to do from now on is double click your browser to connect to the Internet.
