You need access to a scanner. you would have to place the document or photograph that you want to scan on it and run the scanner. Once you do that a image of the document that you scanned is available to be saved on your computer. :)

First thing you need - a scanner.
I would assume that you have one.
Turn it on - they take a few minutes to warm up.
Lift the cover and place your picture or article to be scanned face down on the glass.
On your computer screen - there should be an icon for the scanner software ( HP, Cannon, etc.) - some have one button scanning on the scanner itself.
Hit the button - scan - save the image to "My Documents" or where ever.
You can print from there.

-see that scanner is connected to the computer and the power supply and power supply is turned on
-Start the computer, and open the scanner program (which should already be installed in the computer)
This program will tell you if the scanner is turned on and is ready to work. Put the paper that you want to scan facing the glass of the scanner, and close the scanner's cover
Click the button in the scanner's program to scan it.
It will display a thumbnail of the scan, and you can save it on the hard disk

You need a scaner for that. Just put the paper in the scaner and press start. It will go automatically into the computer.
