I would say no. We would save gas. the trouble with all drivers is distractions, the weather, telephones or just bad drivers. Everyone has to be aware of the road and make allowances for driving conditions and remove the distraction from your car.

I dont think so, most accidents happen because one or both drivers are not paying attention to thier surroundings.
just because everyone is going the speed limit dosn't mean that some idiot is looking down at thier cd player changing a cd, or talking on thier cell phone and hits something or someone.

Although it is a good question i dont think it would solve anything. Most accidents are caused by human error not by speed limits. Basically all you would be doing is having the same problems at slower speeds.

Possibly. I think there would be more congestion and road rage though also. Some people just need to feel free.

The only thing that bothers me really is when people in front of me ride the brakes all the way down a hill and stomp the gas on the way up....idiots.

Why don't you just roll?!!!

Maybe. But we'd all be stuck behind the old lady who lives next door, and who drives at 10 mph.
